My family and I stayed for a week in Hawthorne to get away from the Arizona flooding. We've never been here before, but we absolutely love this town and all the people in it! Pepper's place was by far the best place that we ate and we tried just about everything. We found Peppers while sitting in the Safeway parking lot searching for “food near me”. Hidden on the side of the road, the antique fire trucks and 50’s alien feel was charming and inviting. The menu was out of this world fun and with so much variety, we had a hard time deciding what we wanted. Pros and Cons:

Great nostalgic burger joint. Took me back to childhood. Had the pastrami burger. It was so big I couldn't finish it. Classic onion rings, curly fries and fry sauce. Perfect place to pull over and get some sustenance during a long road trip. Pull-up parking. Outdoor picnic tables. Also a covered eating area to the side and customer only bathroom. Ask for the code.
