We've been going there for a while. The food is great. I noticed the other day that there must have been a turnover of employees.
The food is still great but the dining room was dirty from the floor up. The floor hadn't looked like it had been swept in days. There was dust and food on the floor. The tables needed to be wiped down. We had to wipe our own. The beverage area was also unkept. There were spills on the counter and straw wrappers in the counter and floor.
We were there around 3:00 in the afternoon. It wasn't busy and the employees were hanging around chatting.
Per observation, one young lady employee clearly did not like white women. She was rude to everyone white woman. She'd roll her eyes and be short with them.
I had started out my review with 4 stars but changed it to 3 because as I'm writing I'm thinking we shouldn't have stayed. We stayed because the food is good and planned to meet with other people there. I hope the kitchen was in better shape.

Tried this place the last day of our vacation, I wish we would have stopped by sooner. This is a place we will return whren we come back to town. My husband and I had the chicken katsu, spicy garlic chicken, and BBQ chicken. All were great!! The mac salad was a fav. 😍

Mahalo, Mahalo, Mahalo to the chef and her staff tonight at 9th Island Grill. Even though my family and I walked in to eat 15mins before they closed...we still got served with great hospitality. The front and back of the kitchen was amazing! Even though they didn't have exactly what we wanted, cause we came so late. The chef accommodated us and to top it off we got 2 bonus fried rice plates! The food, atmosphere and vides was ONO! Thank you again! The Kainas.

First time trying and will be back for salmon and to try something else.

Friendly customer service, minimal wait time and food hot & tasty.

Tried the 2 plate with salmon (bbq) and beef. The entree came with 2 scoops rice and mac salad. Salmon was preferred over the beef (wouldnt do beef next time). And, the mac salad was very bland.

Would like to try some other things. The acai bowls I saw being served looked good!

Prices seemed fair in this economy, with the mixed plate almost $20 out the door.

Great food on most of the items we ordered and great service!
We really liked the tonkatsu ramen and katsu. The salmon in the poke bowl was a bit off, but the rice was great. The mac salad was just ok.
I really liked the chocolate smoothie, but my son thought it was a bit thick in all the wrong ways.
I would definitely eat here again in the future.

Parking: The lot was a bit full, but there were still some places to park.

AMAZING 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
I lived in Hawaii for nearly 10 years and this place was like I was right back there. The food portions are huge for the price. 100000000/10. I would come back to Vegas just to go here.

Parking: Easy parking. In Costco lot.

Great staple island food with a few slight twists. The Loco Moco is incredible. They use light brown gravy and top it with fried onions. A slight variance from the dark brown gravy with sautéed onions. The Garlic Chicken has the perfect crunch with the garlic teriyaki based sauce oozing out when you take a bite. The Chicken Katsu is delicately battered with panko and fried golden brown. It has a slightly sweeter katsu sauce than the old school way. But then there is my person favorite- the Fried Saimen smothered with Bok Choy and a grilled Teriyaki Chicken breast. The service however is give or take. It appears like they hire a lot of high school age kids so sometimes the service is top notch, and sometimes there are obvious growing pains which is normal and understandable too.

My boyfriend just went there to pick up a meal. They forgot the macaroni salad and they forgot the drink in a can . My boyfriend had asked her if everything was in the bag at pick up and she said yes. That was not the case . I called in to try to talk to the manager to see about the issue she informed me the manager was not there and left a bunch of little kids in charge. The girl that answered the phone. I think it was Ashley her name she wasn’t speaking clearly and didn’t even apologize or offer any solutions. She just sounded upset that I wanted to talk to her manager. I really like this place, but this put a sour taste in my mouth today. They have little kids working there that have no manners or any kind of customer service skills. There really should be a manager there all the time for situations like this or they should have some kind of training when things like this happen so they know what to do instead of being rude on the phone to the customer, so customers are satisfied with their purchase.

It's not the best food. I tried to eat some of their food, and it's not island food.
