I arrived at the restaurant and had asked for a booth when I had made my open table reservation. The hostess showed us to the first table nearest the front door and I asked if she could seat us at a different booth since there was 5 more available at the time we arrived. She told us she couldn't seat us at any of the other booths and that the one closest to the front door was where we could sit. I told her we were regulars and have been coming to the restaurant for almost 20 years. When she told me it was the table nearest the door and that was it we opted to leave the restaurant. I was extremely disappointed as to the way the hostess handled the situation.
Not sure what is happening with the management or service at this restaurant. This restaurant was always a sure thing on our list and the last few times it's been a sure miss. We had dinner reservations for four top at 6 PM. We are seated quickly in the dining area. Unfortunately, we were guided away from many four tops to only be seated two doors away from the kitchen door. Didn't really seem to make sense since we had reservations from over a week ago. Nonetheless, we are seated and we received water quickly. It then took the server over 15 minutes closer to 20 minutes to come to our table and we said to him” are you our server?” because he never even introduced himself. He was not interested in any level of service at all. He took our drink orders and he did return with the order for the beverages in a timely manner. He then came back and asked if we wanted to place our dinner order. My husband asked him why don't you normally ask if we'd like to start with some appetizers? And he did not respond and my husband asked him what were some good options, at this point really toying with him because we've been there several times and we know what is good. He offered a few suggestions and we made it very clear that we are not going to have our entrées railed. So we ordered our appetizers only at that point. To put everything in perspective, two tables were seated around us about the same time our beverage orders came, and they had entrées before our appetizers came out. the server eventually returned to take the dinner order, and dinner did arrive in a timely manner, being served by back waiters. Our server never checked back again to see how our food was. The food was fine, my salmon was severely overcooked, although edible. This was by far our worst experience and makes this question greatly if we will go back. We asked to speak with a manager but the hostess didn't know where the manager was. Again-likely the result of the issue in the dining room.

Black Mountain Grill is one of our favorite places to eat. Whether it's just us, or with family and/or friends, their diverse menu has not disappointed anyone. Their French Onion Soup is excellent and I get that every time we go. Usually I get the French Dip sandwich, as it too is excellent. My wife enjoys the salmon entree, which is perfectly cooked to her liking every time. There's something for just about everyone on their menu, and I highly recommend giving Black Mountain Grill a try. While it's a 24 hour gaming place, it does not have that feel. It has more of a nicer restaurant feel, that you can play games at if you're seated at the bar. Usually it's fairly quiet, or moderate volume, but yesterday was spirited since there was a very close football playoff game on in the bar area. We are fans, so it didn't bother us. One tip for reservations: this is a 24 hour establishment. I accidentally made our initial dinner reservation for 4:45am rather than 4:45pm. Something that's usually not an issue for most restaurants.
Welcome back Jack!

we are new to Henderson and have been trying places to eat. One of our first was the M, disappointing. All I can say about Black Mountain is the Prime Rib was 1000% better, absolutely delicious. My Husband had the Back Ribs and thoroughly enjoyed them. It is a little loud. We are planning on coming back and bringing family that also just recently moved here
Really enjoyed the glazed salmon entree. It was excellent! Atmosphere is great, service excellent and was a very comfortable place to dine. I would describe it as a scale casual.

The worst service and food including Managers response! Here is a picture of the bread we were giving since we had been waiting so long! Mashed Potatoes had more green onions in it than potatoes!

Whenever I want American food, Black Mountain Grill always is my number 1 choice. Had the filet mignon with mushroom risotto and onion rings, everything is so good, especially the onion rings are to die for!! I just wished that my stomach is bigger 🥹

Food was great. 3 of us ordered the Hanger steak and another the shrimp scampi pasta. Everyone's plate was clean when we were finished. Steaks were cooked perfectly and everything was flavorful. My issue is if we asked the bus boys for anything they would say we had to wait for the server. I also asked for extra dressing for a small side salad and it was $1 more. I expect it from lesser restaurants just not one like this. The simple things were also not done like clearing the wine glasses when no one ordered wine and not clearing old glasses after replacing with refilled drinks which took time to get those. Outside of those small things everything else was great.

Food is delicious! Great selection of wine and great deal for 50% off wine bottles on Wednesday. The only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is that service is good but not amazing. The staff is young and probably just don't have the experience but they try their best and I do appreciate that. We have been here a couple times and will be back for sure.

My father and I went to Black Mountain Grill for Christmas dinner. The place was packed, but the staff was working hard and made sure we were well taken care of. Wait times for each course were longer than usual, but given that it was Christmas we did not mind at all. When the food did come to the table it was fresh and hot so it wasn't sitting under a heat lamp for the wait. This was my father's first time to the Black Mountain Grill and he absolutely loved it. He is a picky eater and raved about every aspect of his meal. He said, “This place is really special” and raved about the not only the food but the value of the price of the meal for what he got. I think it's safe to say we will be back. Thank you Black Mountain Grill for making our Christmas an enjoyable one. P.S. Don't skip the apple pie. It was delicious!!!
