Black Mountain Grill is one of our favorite places to eat. Whether it's just us, or with family and/or friends, their diverse menu has not disappointed anyone. Their French Onion Soup is excellent and I get that every time we go. Usually I get the French Dip sandwich, as it too is excellent. My wife enjoys the salmon entree, which is perfectly cooked to her liking every time. There's something for just about everyone on their menu, and I highly recommend giving Black Mountain Grill a try. While it's a 24 hour gaming place, it does not have that feel. It has more of a nicer restaurant feel, that you can play games at if you're seated at the bar. Usually it's fairly quiet, or moderate volume, but yesterday was spirited since there was a very close football playoff game on in the bar area. We are fans, so it didn't bother us. One tip for reservations: this is a 24 hour establishment. I accidentally made our initial dinner reservation for 4:45am rather than 4:45pm. Something that's usually not an issue for most restaurants.
we are new to Henderson and have been trying places to eat. One of our first was the M, disappointing. All I can say about Black Mountain is the Prime Rib was 1000% better, absolutely delicious. My Husband had the Back Ribs and thoroughly enjoyed them. It is a little loud. We are planning on coming back and bringing family that also just recently moved here
My father and I went to Black Mountain Grill for Christmas dinner. The place was packed, but the staff was working hard and made sure we were well taken care of. Wait times for each course were longer than usual, but given that it was Christmas we did not mind at all. When the food did come to the table it was fresh and hot so it wasn't sitting under a heat lamp for the wait. This was my father's first time to the Black Mountain Grill and he absolutely loved it. He is a picky eater and raved about every aspect of his meal. He said, “This place is really special” and raved about the not only the food but the value of the price of the meal for what he got. I think it's safe to say we will be back. Thank you Black Mountain Grill for making our Christmas an enjoyable one. P.S. Don't skip the apple pie. It was delicious!!!
We enjoyed the food on Xmas... we ordered some garlic bread and it came at the end of our meal when we were all finished eating which is why I only gave it 4 stars.
Went to Black Mountain for Christmas dinner. Had the pork, which was delicious. Only problem was that they forgot to bring the appetizer we ordered. Gave it to us at end of meal and we took it home and had it for lunch the next day. Only minor problem. Dinner was still very good.
1st of all Black Mountain lost our reservations, after waiting they found an earlier request & said all they had was a high table, which turned out to be in front of outside doors- cold breeze every time it opened, also located at the entrance of the restrooms- literally the worst table in the house. The we waited for 30 + minutes for a waitstaff & ordered 2 glasses of wine, another long wait period, Then our order taken- 30+ minutes more before our meal was served. We sat there for over an hour before we got our food. Manager came by apologized for the delays
We arrived and were told there was no tables available until 730. I checked open table and there was a reservation for 5 when we want we to dine. They seemed confused yet seated us with angst. The service for dinner and food was amazing. Once we got past the initial hostess confusion.
Food great and the upside down apple pie with the chocolate sauce substitute is Fabulous!!
We've eaten here frequently and always enjoyed the food. We especially like that it's 25 hours as many of the restaurants close earlier than we would like. The cocktails are also better than at most places.
Generally I go here for the ribs or the salmon, both are very good I decided on the wings last night and it was a mistake. they were old and dry. In the future I will stick with what I know is good.

Great atmosphere lively bar. Food was a little bland and no bread service which was strange. Waiter had zero personality and drinks took forever to come out. It's a maybe on giving them another shot at redemption.
One of our regular places to go. We were seated at the table we had requested which was nice. Our waiter was okay but not very personable. We ordered and my husband is on a restricted diet right now so he ordered a hamburger no bun, and asked for no fries but wanted a small side salad. The waiter informed him it would be a $8 up charge. There was hardly anyone in the place and to me a small dinner salad in exchange for fries and the bun would have been a good deal for the restaurant financially. My husband said no thank you to the salad, the waiter didn't seem to care either way. I think it was his not caring that made it feel wrong. Our guests had not been there in years and when we got there they were pleasantly surprised by how nice it was . Our guest is an executive on the stripe and was surprised also that the restaurant would not substitute a dinner salad. It is what it is I guess
Utilizing Open table, we are able to reserve our favorite booth. As regulars the table is setup for our use place set for two and on the correct side of the table to watch the game. Our waiter is the best, and he knows our drink preferences to start our meal. The filet mignon is our regular meal with a small Caesar salad. Grilled to medium rare with choice of veggies and starch option. Nothin beats a dining experience at Black Mountain. The Strip offers a wide variety of epicurean choices, but the people and quality of food is first rate at this restaurant.
Beautiful place! My friends and I loved the food and atmosphere. The prices are very reasonable too!
I read some reviews and for the most part, they were pretty good. I wanted a place that had good ambience, food, service, and affordable. I was taken aback at how Black Mountain Grill surpassed all of those requirements. I can't say enough about this restaurant. It really is a hidden gem. Everything was outstanding. I had to try to the Kung Po Short Rib out of curiosity, and was blown away. I've had short ribs at other high end restaurants and none compared. The services was beyond expectations - from the food server to the bus staff and even then management checking on us. I will definitely be going back and making it a main recommendation. Thank you Black Mountain Grill.
