Cafe Rio Fresh Modern Mexican

Literally just watched an employee drop a tortilla from the grill to the floor pick it up and put it back on the grill before realizing I was watching and then after a “deer in the headlights stare” he took the tortilla back off the grill and threw it away, then got another tortilla from across the room and put it on the grill!!!!! Whole time kept looking at me because he knew he was caught!!!! Be careful if you choose to dine here! Make sure you watch your food get made!!!

Really bad location. I went on Halloween night when there was literally no one in the restaurant to pick up my online order. It wasn't even ready when I walked in even though I was their only customer. I should've checked my order before getting home because the employee forgot several items in my bowl and gave me guacamole instead of the house dressing. Just because they're both green doesn't mean they're the same thing. I didn't think it would be that hard for someone to mess up an extremely simple order when no other customers are around but now I know to avoid this location because it's clearly they can't get the easiest tasks done correctly.

Went ans tries it again. Its been a few months and yet again no cheese and barely any lettice. It seems like ordering online people are not ressing or caring to follow the recipe.

Place an online order for a taco salad. When I got home they forgot half the ingredients in the salad. The salad looks like the person was making a burrito and they just notice it was a salad and continue on making it. Basically hardly any Lettuce for the salad, no guacamole, no sour cream, and no shredded cheese.

I drive to this location even though I have another one closer to my house bc this location always has their food in stock and horchata full! Worth the extra drive.

Most unpleasant experience I’ve had. Service was not great besides person making my food. They were friendly. Food quality was terrible for $18 with tails on shrimp still in my tacos. Normally I have decent experiences but this one was not one of them. Employee standing front of line in the open texting as if it didn’t matter. Very unprofessional. Almost charged an extra $1 for house dressing I got instead of mango sauce and interaction was just not pleasant.

So disappointed.. today is October 11, 2025- it says they are open but once you get to the door to enter, they are closed! Not very smart to make people think you are open-

I wanted to give a shout-out to Charlie at Cafe Rio! He's seriously the best. Every time we come in, he's super helpful and always has a smile on his face. What's even more incredible is he took the time to remember our usual order. It's that kind of personal interaction that makes you want to keep coming back.
