I keep forgetting how horrible your mobile orders are. Every time I order ahead it takes forever. I used to go get your food all the time. It took almost 40 minutes for a mobile order. I understand that u want to take care of the people in the restaurant but no one should have to wait 25 minutes after the time it’s supposed to be ready. Your food is always tasty and this is the only Cafe Rio that we have this problem and unfortunately it’s every time we get a mobile order. You guys need to fix this issue fast or we won’t come back. Way too many good places to eat in Vegas then to waste my time with you restaurant. Your staff needs more training and have a manager in the place. It will be a while before I come back and I won’t ever order on the app again. Get this fixed before you lose more customers. The food was delicious as usual, but service was horrible.

I love cafe Rio, but this is honestly the worst one I’ve ever been to and it has the most slow service. I got there an 2 hours before closing (when they should still have a lot right?) and I didn’t get even close to what I ordered because they were out of everything and weren’t making more. I am not happy with what I got to say the least.

Not sure if it was just today, but the service was horrible. They weren’t busy at all and yet seemed overly stressed over small orders. On staff member put pork instead of chicken in our entree 3 times. When we tried ordering beef barbacoa we were told it would be a wait, which we were ok with, and that they’d call us when the beef is ready. They never did. We watched another staff member accidentally put pico in a different order, and then pick some of it out when they realized it wasn’t supposed to be on the entree. We were then left for an additional 7 minutes at the cash register since the cashier decided to ignore us and work on something else instead. One staff member was just making tortillas and not helping anyone else at all. We were at this location for over 40 minutes over 4 items that should have been easily made. Terrible experience overall due to the incompetent staff.

Came here at 6:17 PM thinking it was gonna be the dinner rush so we get fresh food chickens hard as a rock chips are absolutely stale we had three nachos we ordered each nacho has stale chips out of the seasoned chicken had to get the regular chicken, which wasn’t what we came here for asked him if they were making any more. They said 45 minutes that would do us no good because we wanted to eat now I wouldn’t recommend this place. I don’t understand how they’re always so busy.

I'm writing this review in the store as my order was supposed to be ready 10 minutes ago. I placed it 25 minutes ago and got here 10 minutes ago. They had a line of around 7-8 people and said they hadn't started mine yet. They then made everyone's order that was coming in and getting in line until they were all done. Then they started making mine just now. What's the point of ordering on the app when I could have ordered in person and gotten it faster? I thought cafe rio handles mobile orders simultaneously? Least how the other one I go to does it.

This Cafe Rio normally is really good. From the service to the food. This time, everything was subpar at best. Be aware when you order online. The burritos are much smaller and looked deflated. We asked for flour Niños and received wheat. They added tomatoes to a burrito, when I specifically asked for no tomatoes. Etc. Maybe it was an off day for them. Either way, the food was subpar and so were the portions. Maybe we’ll go back or maybe we won’t…..

I had such an awesome experience at Café Rio thanks to the manager Tyler! From the moment I walked in, he greeted us with genuine friendliness and made us feel welcome. He went above and beyond to make sure our order was exactly right, offered great suggestions, and delivered everything with a positive attitude. You can tell he really cares about the customers and takes pride in his work. It’s rare to find service that feels both fast and personal, but Tyler nailed it. Definitely the highlight of my visit—I’ll be coming back because of the great food and the outstanding service!

I really wanted to love this place. I do NOT recommend going here. I’ve ordered from here every Saturday for the past year or more. The food is fresh and tastes great, and I love the food, but man this place CANNOT get an order correct if its life depended on it. Seriously. I’ve ordered queso and chips numerous times - and sometimes I will receive only queso, sometimes I will receive only chips and NO queso.
I pay extra for two proteins… it’s you and your luck if you get both, sometimes i will get one protein, sometimes i will get the other…If I’m lucky I will get both that I paid for. They also screw up all of the toppings - you will got some of the toppings your ordered- maybe. Dressing on the side that you ordered and payed more for? You may or may not get it.
I’m not sure if they’re not training their staff, or if they have high turnover, or they have no systems in place, or no quality control, or no supervision… I have no idea… but they just lost a customer for good. If they continue on this path they will go out of business.

Went in for a chicken bowl and they were still making a fresh batch, the tall lightskin was extremely polite, so I said I’ll wait, when I go to pay the shorter guy making my bowl told me meal is on him for waiting so patiently! Left them a tip for appreciation. Thank you guys!

It happens every single time at this location, I order ahead by a good 45 minutes to an hour and then they tell me when I come that I have to wait another 15 minutes. They have the worst manager because they don’t know how to plan, lunchtime is lunchtime you always should have a plan to cover and not make people wait. The place is also pretty dirty, which doesn’t make me feel good about the quality of their food. If you can’t take care of the place, the customer sees, what is the back of the kitchen look like???
2 stars for service because at least the woman at the cash register was sincerely apologetic and kind. I felt bad for her because other customers were not showing her any kindness. Other than that, I could never recommend Cafe Rio.
We placed an online order that had a 20 min time. After those 20 mins I went to pick it up and they hadn't even started making it. The manager standing nearby advised it would be at least another 30 minutes because they didn't have any rice ready. I didn't have that long to wait so I asked them to cancel the order. The cashier apologized, and said she couldn't cancel the order because it was online and that I'd have to contact their customer care center. It's annoying but not her fault.
I called the customer care center and was kind of given the third degree and was told that they'd only cancel the order if they could confirm the store hadn't prepared the food. They were able to confirm that and advised I'd have my refund in a few days. After a week I still didn't have the refund so called again to check the status. Without being asked any of my info, I was told they had no record of a refund for that day.. I explained what happened again, and she said that she'd issue the refund, but she still hadn't asked me any of my information. I asked her how she was going to do that since she hadn't asked for any info, order number, payment method or anything. She got really frustrated and quickly rattled off ALL of my information. Clearly they were able to put my phone number off their caller ID or something, but she could have just advised that instead of responding with such an awful attitude. About a week later I finally had my refund.
One of my favorite spots in Fresno and found one in vegas.
