Cafe Rio Fresh Modern Mexican

Don’t bother ordering online. This is the third order I’ve made online with them. Every single time I end up waiting at the store to pickup longer than it would have taken to get in line and order. What an absolute joke! Today the app gave me the time it would be ready. I come in 5 minutes after…. I’m still here waiting…. 30 MINUTES LATER STILL NO FOOD.

I’m extremely disappointed with my recent visit to Café Rio. The staff seemed completely uninterested in doing their jobs — lazy and unmotivated from the moment I walked in. They ran out of lettuce, and instead of going to the back to restock, they just shrugged and gave me a tiny portion like it didn’t matter. The meat was the worst I’ve ever gotten here — full of fat and scraps that should’ve never been served. On top of that, the staff’s attitude was terrible: rude, dismissive, and clearly in a rush to do as little as possible.
I used to like this place, but this kind of service is unacceptable. If management actually cared about customer experience, they’d train their employees better and make sure customers get fresh, quality ingredients — not leftovers from the bottom of the pan.

Nice music, nice people, nice food. Pretty fuego if you ask me. Great place to chill, and Alberto was probably one of the cooler people there. He really went above expectations to ensure our satisfaction

What food we received was good, but there weren't any tortillas made do we didn't get any with our food. I feel like we should have received a discount, since we didn't get the tortillas, but no.

I tried emailing on 12/9 about an order on 12/8 but no one ever got back to me so I’m sharing my experience here. This is THE worst location, I can’t believe they’re still open. When they first opened we ordered takeout, everything in the order was wrong - everything. We decided to go to the other locations in the meantime thinking it was because they were newer but a few weeks ago we decided to try again, takeout order - not ready even close to when the estimated pick up time was so they gave us cups for drinks while we waited. The tea/drink machines were filthy inside. When we eventually got our order and left (not sure why I didn’t check before leaving but I was feeling hopeful) - everything was wrong again. Not only was the entire order incorrect, the food was inedible. It was thrown together, cheese wasn’t melted, sour cream for the tacos not on the tacos but under them?? Just go to the Eastern location 😒

Cafe rio used to be my fave at any location.lately most of their locations service sucks. The location at St rose is new and the store is disgusting. I made line and just seeing how dirty it is made me doubt about ordering food. The food looked old. The employees look so miserable working there. Their service awful. One question and their attitude was horrible. They were so slow. They had a huge line. 18 mins waiting and I left. 2nd time being there and last.

Today Dec ‘26 at 14:00 everything seemed off… the staff was quiet & looked like they were being watched by a micro manager. I asked for a few beans (tablespoon’ish) on my tacos per usual & was told it’d be an up charge. I asked at the, since when at the register & was politely told… new management. Which made sense after because it was the new manager that helped me (red shirt & braces). Hopefully (red shirt & braces) eases up on the micro management because $40 each month, for a year, of a customer not coming in adds up over time.

We were traveling and chose Cafe Rio for lunch without any information. Lucky guess! The food was freshly made and prepared. EXCELLENT! Service was prompt and pleasant. Plenty of seating, clean restrooms, and quick service. We have a
Dog and were pleased with clean, comfortible outside seating. A Great experience! In Vegas, wish we had one at home in San Diego!

Only good thing I have to say is about a young man named Alvin. From the moment I walked into the building, he made my experience wonderful. Everyone else on the other hand was unprofessional, rude and lazy. I had a lady look me dead in my eyes and ignore me, no hi, no “we’ll be right with you”, or anything. Just straight up turned around.

Alvin helped everyone he could and unfortunately had to deal with attitude and disrespect from his coworkers. With someone who try’s to make the guests day by trying to be professional and productive, his teammates AND BOSSES don’t cheer him on!! Poor service and unfortunately poor management.

Today we waited 45 minuets for our pickup order. No exaggerating, 45 minutes. I understand they were busy but there is no reason we should have waited that long for a pick up order.

I keep forgetting how horrible your mobile orders are. Every time I order ahead it takes forever. I used to go get your food all the time. It took almost 40 minutes for a mobile order. I understand that u want to take care of the people in the restaurant but no one should have to wait 25 minutes after the time it’s supposed to be ready. Your food is always tasty and this is the only Cafe Rio that we have this problem and unfortunately it’s every time we get a mobile order. You guys need to fix this issue fast or we won’t come back. Way too many good places to eat in Vegas then to waste my time with you restaurant. Your staff needs more training and have a manager in the place. It will be a while before I come back and I won’t ever order on the app again. Get this fixed before you lose more customers. The food was delicious as usual, but service was horrible.

I love cafe Rio, but this is honestly the worst one I’ve ever been to and it has the most slow service. I got there an 2 hours before closing (when they should still have a lot right?) and I didn’t get even close to what I ordered because they were out of everything and weren’t making more. I am not happy with what I got to say the least.
