If I could give this location zero stars I would. My family and I have tried this location a handful of times now. 2x inside the dining room and the other 3x through the drive thru. This location constantly misses the mark. This is a fairly new location and when it first opened I went in alone and was surprised to see that there are only kiosks to order food. I personally don't like this set up and really didn't like the closed kitchen as I always like to watch them make the food because of course they can be skimpy on ingredients. I was so overwhelmed I walked out and went through the drive through. I ordered a steak quesadilla and when I got home I noticed there were 3 pieces of steak.... this was the first experience and the consequential times after I was still disappointed.
Tonight 10/27 my husband and I went to a different location on Horizon and we were told that they were out of steak, at 7:30pm when they don't close until 10pm. Already annoyed and agitated I agreed to go to this location on Lake Mead although I said we would never go here again. We went through the drive thru and ordered 2 steak quesadillas. My husband asked to have jalapeños and onions added to the quesadilla and he was told no they couldn't do that but they would put it on the side. A little annoyed we pulled to the cashier and paid the $31.60. We got home to eat (we literally live 4 minutes from the location), and not only was there minimal steak in the quesadilla, the tortilla was somehow soggy.... and not even soggy almost sweaty and wet. There were no sides of onions and jalapeño. It was inedible and added annoyance as we absolutely hate this location and went here in a pinch. We did not eat the food and I really blame the drive thru option at this location. Not sure if the food sits or if the employees are just lazy and don't care.
It seems silly to even review a fast food joint but this has become such a problem in the food industry. People work hard for their money and charging $30 for 2 quesadillas isn't even worth the food we receive. It's a ripoff and I hope this location closes.

It's a bit strange going from a full service one to this one where you have to place your own order at the kiosk

This cafe rio location is convenient to us, especially in an area of town that doesn’t have a lot of options for fast fresh restaurants. We’ve ordered here a handful of times and each time is such a disappointment. Especially in comparison to the cafe rio at Stephanie and Warm Springs. Today I paid $2.99 for the large side of guacamole. What unresolved was a half container of guac with a bunch of their spicy salsa roja and a handful of shredded cheese on top of the guacamole. I’m dairy free!!! This was not a customizable option! Also, after I took the cheese and salsa off, the amount of guac added up to a small side but yet I paid more??? This makes no sense. So disappointing. Every single time. The staff is nice but whoever is manages this place must know that ppl will still order here bc there aren’t many options so they can just take short cuts where they can. Ridiculous.

Will not order through the drive thru again. My salad came with 6 pieces of lettuce. They forgot the cheese, fajita veggies, and guacamole. We had to go in to ask for the missing ingredients and only received a small cup of each. They also sprinkled a seasoning on top of the salad that has never been added before. It was so much seasoning, it ruined the taste of the food. Very disappointed and I will not be back to this location.

Waited at the counter, was ignored. Went to self order kiosk, ordered enchiladas that had little to no sauce. Ugh!
We have been going for Cafe Rio for the past 15 years and love it.
This one was near our house so we gave it a try.
First impression, its not the kind of Cafe Rio we are used to.
There is no line with different ingredients to chose. No tortilla making station. And worst, there wasn't a lot of friendly employees.
Instead, there was a wall of kiosks.
I asked for some help and the employee had a little bit of attitude. We weren't the only ones having trouble with the kiosks either.
It was very sterile, not warm and inviting like the other Cafe Rio's we've gone to.
The food was good as usual, but the tortilla chips with the chips and queso weren't the normal fresh made ones.
This store seems like it focuses more on take out than dine in.

I was pleasantly surprised when I ordered a pork burrito from here on a Thursday evening. It was very tasty (significantly better than a certain famous fast food chain where you can get burritos). There was a lot of space to sit inside and outside.

Very impersonal. They might as well have robots. Ordering kiosks and no employee-customer interactions. The food was subpar and extremely lacking in portions of protein. On a good note, the place was clean.

Compared to other Café Rio, restaurants the portions here are pathetic. They don’t give you nothing compared to other restaurants. Also, the quality of the food was not good. The salsas were not even salsas. They were whole chunks of vegetables in there never going back. Do not go there.

Going to Cafe Rio when it first opened and through the years used to be like a celebration. The customer service was great. The workers were happy to see the customers and wait on them. It might just be this location but here the staff doesn’t look happy. They don’t greet you with a smile or hello, and they look like they’re inconvenienced when they wait on you. It seems they are annoyed by you. Surely not all of the staff might not respond this way but my recent experiences here seem to be lacking of an appreciation for the customer. They don’t make the customer feel comfortable. Based on other customer feedback and the 3 star review, there is a sentiment related to the customer service and vibe. Guess corporate CR doesn’t care? Im done with this location. It’s not worth it.

Disinterested staffing. Vagrant/Bum hanging inside, order incorrect when received. Too bad it is bring neglected. Our local Cafe Rio is awesome, however. Hopefully just a bad day.
