The food was delicious. I asked to get a tiny taste of the cheese that goes in the burrito and the employee wanted to charge me, as if I was ordering a side of cheese. I didn't want a full side of it, just a taste to see if that was what was the making it spicy. I tried to teach some about good customer service and that I didn't need to be charged for just a smidge. Hopefully their manager teaches them.

Update: We gave Pollo Loco another try today (September 12, 2025) and i am happy to report that the prior problems were corrected. We ordered our favorite, the Pollo Bowl and it was excellent. Thank you we will be back.
--------- We have been patrons of this Pollo Loco location for years. We usually buy the Original Pollo Bowl Combo. For the past 6 months, there has been hardly any chicken in the bowls. Today, there was hardly any chicken, and the bowls had substantially less food in them, and the food was watery. The chips are not fresh they taste like they didn't sell yesterday's, and they refried them to serve today. What a disappointment.

Everytime I go here its something. Either the order is wrong or foods not good but yet I keep going for some reason. I went last night and it was a double wammy, food was so bad I tossed it, on top of receiving a double ckn avocado bowl instead of the salad like I had ordered. All the ckn was so brown and hard it was almost ineadible. I think I finally had enough to say I wont be back.

I asked for a breast wirh skin on it. Guy didn't say anything. Went to back pulled a different 1/2 chicken, allegedly put that on the grill. I got back same piece. I said thanks, still didn't say anything. Spoke w other guests.
I got the double chicken bowl, it was good.. really like the guacamole salsa

Ummmmmmm… Sauccyyyyyyy!! I’m always on the go doing mobile notary services all over Las Vegas and Henderson but when I get home… I stop and smell that chicken passing by. I LOVE the creamy cilantro. I put it on EVERYTHING! The chicken is always flavorful too. My go to meal is the tostada salad with no beans extra rice. Gimme gimme!!! LOL 😂 El Pollo Loco on Lake Mead and Atlantic in Henderson is never too busy and quick with their orders. Stop in… grab a quick bite and enjoy the atmosphere! This location is the closest to my home. I'm not sure who is making the Mac n cheese but they really should get a different cook. The second day in a row I ordered it and it still tastes watered down. I can literally taste the water in it because it isn't as savory or full of flavor as before. Please stop watering down the Mac n cheese in order to stretch it further. It does not help the business.
