I ordered from here with a delivery by Uber Eats. When I received my order, it was wrong and missing an item. I called them to tell them, and they said I could bring it to them to get it replaced. I said I paid for delivery because I couldn't drive. They didn't care. They didn't offer to replace it in the future, give a partial refund or anything. I paid $39.18 for a meal I couldn't even eat half of. Will never give them any of my money again.

Very good Mexican homemade atmosphere and food. Also very expensive for what you might be expecting. I probably won't go back due to the price, but the experience wasn't bad, neither was the food.Vegetarian options: Vegetarians suckParking: You can park if you want to. You can leave your friends behind.Kid-friendliness: Kids can go there. Mine had margaritas.Wheelchair accessibility: Roll through Holmes.

My husband and I tried EL Torito Cafe for lunch. It is located on Boulder Highway. The restaurant has been around for 59 years. It's a mainstay, where regulars and newcomers come together for breakfast, brunch, lunch or dinner. I've seen EL Torito via commercials with the Harris and Harris father and son law firm. The food looked appetizing. We enjoyed our lunch. My husband ate breakfast and I had the tacos with rice and beans. The food was outstanding. The tacos are the best I've ever eaten in my 58 years on this planet. We will be back to try more of their delicious food. The service is great and the restaurant is comfortable. I recommend trying them out if you're looking for a good meal.

Probably more of a 3.5 star review to be truthful but the place has been here for 50 years for a reason...very nondescript cinderblock restaurant on the far south end of Boulder highway. Don't let the exterior looks fool you though as this place has some very good and traditional Mexican food...interior is very clean with about a dozen booths and several tables. The service was very good from the few employees that were working on this Saturday afternoon. The salsa was pretty good and had more of a tomato forward flavor with a touch of heat at the back end...the chips were okay...pitcher of margaritas were good albeit served in plastic margarita cups as was the pitcher itself...the tamale was good but as another poster said, the filling could have been more ample inside...the rice and beans were good though...the shredded beef enchilada was excellent as was the shredded beef burrito (huge)....business was steady on an early Saturday afternoon which tells you that this place is good...first time here but won't be the last time...prices are in line with other places of this type...RECOMMEND

I'm not sure what happened but the last few times the food is mediocre at best. I would offer the following suggestions...Chips n dip: warm the chips in an oven. It's like they came right out of a bag. Just mediocre. The salsa was blazing hot this time and tasted like canned tomato puree. We asked for beans to go with the chips. Literally right out of the can. Cheese came from a bag and was preshredded. Like the cheap bag of shredded cheese you get from the store. The food: My wife told the wait staff "no rice, just beans." I too told the wait staff "my wife wants beans only, no rice." Her food came with rice. They took it back, scraped off some of the rice and mashed the beans over covering the rice that they left on her plate. My food: instant rice and beans right from the can. The tacos were really good though but the bagged lettuce and cheap bagged cheese they used was kind of wierd so I scraped most of it off. Not coming back. Sorry not sorry.

I have been wanting to try El Torito for the 10 years we have lived in the valley. Today was the day. The business has been continuously operating since 1975 and for the Vegas area that's remarkable in itself. When you pull into the parking lot, you'll find that it's semi paved. When you walk in, you are greeted with some Mexican art. The style and pieces are what you'd expect for an older restaurant. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder as they say. The cool thing about this place are the half circle booths, which makes conversation easier over a meal. The booths are a bit worn, and I assume they were installed in the 70's. The chips and salsa were excellent. Salsa should have a bit of zing to it, and this was spot on. I wish I had taken a picture of my burrito, as the portion size was large and tasty. Everyone in our group seemed to enjoy their meals. The restroom was decent and functional. Now the complaint. They like many places of late, tack on a credit card fee. Their prices are only fair to begin with, so I always feel this is either a money grab at the end of the meal, or they want you to pay cash for reasons I won't speculate on. Just add $.25 to your menu items and drop the silliness.Net-net, I may return in the future, but the competition around Mexican food in this town is plentiful.Parking: Semi-paved and rough in spots. If you are in a wheelchair, you may need assistance.

Had heard great stuff about this place. Only one type of dip super hot. Chips not fresh came out of a bag. Beans tasted like they came right out of a can very disappointing. Will not come back.

Good simple Mexican food. Very friendly and attentive staff. The pork green chili burrito was flavorful. The chicken in the enchilada was flavorful and very moist.
