Ok. As a 40th and king drive native, of course the food is always on-point but some just have a proclivity of having an ill-spirited demeanor. The light-skined young lady at the register is a poor representation your business. With her being the first person you encounter it's not helping the service one bit. If I had an opinion in placement, I would have the young man from North Carolina ( with the gold teeth) in the front of the house. His attitude was inviting and warm...
We had their catfish bucket delivered a couple of weeks ago and we absolutely LUVED it, so decided to get dinner from here today. Unfortunately, they didn't have most of the items we wanted to get. Gizzards..not available. Fried mushrooms..not available. Fried okra..not available. Pickle chips...not available. The cashier was super nice about it but I'm incredibly disappointed.
So I’ll be honest The cat fish was kind of bland it was cooked okay but no flavor. The chicken was cooked nicely, and there was some flavor but it was average at best. Nothing beyond a churches or Popeyes. The sauce was actually good to me cuz I’ve never been to Chicago. However it just taste like good bbq and hot sauce mixed together. I think i can make it better at home. I give them 3 stars for being average.
