MASSIVELY underrated Boulder Highway spot. Sweet interior decor paired with what may have been the best French toast I’ve ever had. I had it with the ham… and the ham was FIRE. I ended up ordering more of it. Overall, highly recommended. Make that drive!

Hoosier Breaded Tenderloin and the fries were the best I have ever had. We really liked the music playing in the background.

We stopped at Hometown Country Kitchen in Henderson, Nevada, on our way back home to Phoenix, and it was the perfect little find! It’s a cute, cozy spot filled with Americana and fun memorabilia—very warm and patriotic vibes.

The food was excellent! They did their hash browns exactly right—crispy and golden—and my husband said his egg sandwich was outstanding. I just had sides of hash browns, sausage, and fruit, and the fruit cup was surprisingly generous, with fresh strawberries, bananas, and blueberries.

Service was great, and we got seated right away. Everything about it was friendly, tasty, and easy. I’d definitely recommend stopping in if you’re passing through!

Stopped for breakfast before we headed out to hike Black Mountain. The food was delicious. I loved the fresh flowers and small things (flowered water pitcher) that made me smile. My favorite was Ray, the gentleman that served our beverages 🥰 We look forward to visiting again!

It's exactly what it looks like in the photos: classic southern ma and pa restaurant.

Service was great (Ben), so was my dinner. Will come again.

First time trying this place and thought it was ok to good.

Everything was tasty, except when you looked inside the Ruben there was very very little meat. I regret not getting a picture, but it was someone else's entree (and they were not impressed). The peach cobbler was good, but very very little peaches (mainly a cake more than anything). Service was good, everyone is friendly.

Would try this one more time and tey other things. Definitely not bad, but not a OMG place.

Gives that hometown feel. Great food and awesome atmosphere. Plays the ole school country music while you dine. Home made pies and flowers on the table.

I moved here 1 1/2 years ago and found this place. Been in several times, service was always excellent and the food jpassable.
First time I tried a dessert it was cobbler and horrible. Just a breadie glob. Last time I went in, I ordered caramel cake. Haven’t had a piece of caramel cake since I left the South. This was not caramel cake, it actually tasted like it was probably iced with caramel flavored canned icing. A month ago I wanted a taco salad. Not chips and a salad dumped on top like you get next door at Del Taco. They assured me they served theirs in a taco shell, so I ordered and enjoyed. Tonight I called in an order for the same thing but the person taking the order did not tell me they made a major change to this menu item. I picked it up, got home and sat down to eat and they changed it to chips with a salad dumped on top. The chips were stone cold and tasteless. I called and asked to speak to the manager/owner and the man stated it was he. Notice I did not call him a gentleman. Before I could finish what I wanted to address, this man cut me off, got very rude and told me IT WAS TOO MUCH TROUBLE TO MAKE THE TORTILLA SHELL, and that he made the lifeless, tasteless tortilla chips himself this morning. When I said the chips were not just cool, they were stone cold he laughed at me and implied I didn’t know what I was talking about, they should be cold. I’m sorry, but good restaurants that I have dined in, actually have warm things in their taco salad in a shell. Things like beans, rice and sometimes the protein. I wasn’t going to continue to listen to this clown on the phone and ended the call with I guess you don’t value your business. All this for $17+. I perused the ratings before I wrote this one and low and behold when a commenter complained that his wife + had been treated badly because of her color, someone from this restaurant that followed up practically called him a liar. The servers are excellent but the manager/owner has no customer service skills. And my order tonight is still on their menu as a shell, not chips. Bye, bye Hometown Country Kitchen!

This is a hidden gem. Food was really good and service was great. I had the BBQ Pulled Pork sandwich and it was excellent. My companions had Beef tenderloin and she was raving about it.

This will be a weekly spot for us now.
