I stopped by Jessi Rae's a couple of weeks ago because they were having a fundraiser for a local travel hockey team. I had the chopped brisket, waffle fries and mac n cheese. The food was amazing and the staff were very hospitable! The food and experience were so good that we ended up catering from here for our office Christmas party! We had just about everything on the menu and it was all beyond great. The driver they sent to set up was extremely nice, helpful and took all of the stress away from hosting.
Short story long, if you like bbq, this is the spot, I'd add an extra star if it were an option!!!!

Our family loves Jessie Rae’s! We are from the south and picky about our barbecue, but Jessie Rae’s never disappoints. Flavorful, reasonably priced, friendly staff, large portions (enough for leftovers for me and my husband), clean restaurant, military friendly! We went frequently at their old location near The Strip. Now we know when we go to Henderson where we will be eating for lunch or dinner.

Award winning BBQ is a slight over reach.....wanted to try the mcrib and was severely let down at the quality of meat used, the ribs were thicker than my billfold.....that's a good thing when the ribs are tender/soft but this was tough like cow tongue, so tough I almost contemplated grabbing a knife.....to cut a rib sandwich....there was little to no sauce on either sandwiches and no slaw in sight.

Unbelievably delicious beef ribs on Thursdays and Sundays. Best I've had and I travel a lot. The brisket is fantastic as well. I'll be here twice a week (Thursday and Sunday) minimum till I die or they go out of business.
Also, portions are consistent with price. You get a lot, but its not cheap (expect to pay $20 - $50 a person unless your just getting a sandwich or something (also 🔥). Its pointless to argue with the prices. The food will bring you back no matter what u say lol. Nah... fa real... it's that good.

I was traveling through Boulder to visit family yesterday and picked up a to go order. I saw an advertisement on Facebook for the Fortress. It was amazing. The hot links, pork ribs, brisket, waffle fries, Mac and cheese were amazing. I also picked up some beef ribs and pulled pork they were both amazing. The meat had wonderful flavor and the barbecue sauce is wonderful. Needless to say my whole family was very impressed with the quality and flavor of the food. I will definitely be stopping by next time I'm in the area. I would definitely recommend them.
