Tried this place for the first time and it was "ok". Would return and try something else. Priced right and nice location. Note- you need to walk thru the casino to get there. Service and atmosphere was nice.

Menu was relatively diverse and priced reasonably (about $20 an entree).

Salad was fresh. No real complaints minus some salad toppings were few and far between. Dressings seemed homemade and were good! Wouldn't get chicken parmigiana, will stick to Italian restaurant.

My partner and I went out for Thanksgiving dinner, trying this restaurant for the first time. The wait time was acceptable, and our waitress was nice, but we felt rushed when she immediately asked for our menus and orders. We ordered two turkey dinners, but she didn’t even introduce herself, which was a bit off-putting.

Throughout the meal, she never came back to check if we needed anything else, like more soda or napkins. When the food finally arrived, my meal wasn’t hot enough, and it was clear the cranberry sauce was canned. The mashed potatoes, stuffing, and green beans all seemed lackluster as well.

After we finished eating, our server—still nameless—came back to ask if we wanted a takeout box. I said yes, and she brought it along with the check but didn’t offer us dessert or coffee.

Unfortunately, our experience fell far short of our expectations. Interestingly, the restaurant didn’t seem especially busy, as I noticed other guests having a better time with a more attentive service. Sadly, I was left disappointed.

Apologies for the lack of photos, but I didn’t finish my meal; the turkey, in particular, was not to my taste.

Where to start?

I don't normally write reviews, however, I think my experience should be known so these problems can (HOPEFULLY) be addressed. Boy, does this place need an honest critique.

I was seated at a dirty table, given no water, nor time to even glance over the menu before being asked which drink I wanted to order.

I eventually decided on the moscato, thank god the only thing I ordered not made in house (I'm sure there is some degree of bought-in food) was good.

However, the base of my wine glass could have easily been polished before pouring and serving. It had the nastiest water stains I've seen in ANY establishment. It was so unappetizing that I resorted to spit shining the glass to be able to at least enjoy my drink. That was a horrible first impression on the standards here. Thinking back, I should have left then and there as I was already getting frustrated with the service so far.

**edit- the photo was (obviously) taken after cleaning the glass**

I ordered the breakfast burrito. It was bland, as I had come to expect at that point. The only saving grace was the sauce (which I assume is not made in house either). That being said, it was nothing special. The sausage that was inside looked like the little frozen chodes they sell at the supermarket. I didn't even know it came with them until I saw the little slices of disappointment.

Killed three gnats over the course of thirty minutes. That's what broke the camels back. After the third one I was finally fed up and asked for the bill.

Quality control is a major problem. I understand I arrived later into the night (~2am) but at least have enough self respect to do the bare minimum.

Was not given a pen to sign the receipt, I used the crayon that was meant for the kino paper.

I acknowledge this is just a little spot that doesn't try to impress but at least have standards, if not for me, for yourselves.

I will not be returning.

I've lived in LV for a long time, used to enjoy this place when it was the Grand Cafe.
Brought some out of town guest, this weekend, in the hopes it was still decent.
15min wait, no big deal. Sat down to silverware that had stuck on food. Waitress comes around to take drinks/food order.
The ridiculous ramekins of condiments is off putting. Dirty glasses filled with iced tea, only to be told all the glasses look like that, so there was no reason to request a 'clean' glass.
Under cooked breakfast meat (no I never send food back) and no coffee refills. Such a shame. Do better GVR, do better.

I have been to this location many times for breakfast and it always disappoints. The food is always room temperature. Today I had the Breakfast Burrito ( scrambled eggs, hash browns, bacon and sausage, cheddar jack cheese, avocado, chipotle cream, tortilla chips, salsa fresca )

Lukewarm burrito cut in half. There was no bacon, sausage, cheese or chipotle cream. It was basically just room temperature scrambled eggs and hash browns. The side of salsa was so small it ran out before starting in on the 2nd half. Our server Richard never once came bye to see if we needed anything such as more salsa or even ketchup at this point. The only time he came back was to deliver the check. I did order a glass of Orange Juice but sent it back as it was sour.

Stay far, far away.

The website shows that they are open 24 hours a day 7 days a week. We went at 8:10 PM and they were closed with a makeshift sign at the entrance. Since when does the only 24 HR casino coffee shop close at 8 PM ??? Fortunately, it was only 8:10 and we were able to get into the Mexican restaurant, but it had been any later, we would have had to leave to find food.

Way overpriced for breakfast. Just average quality. Especially at a local casino standard restaurant. No specials. Bring back the old restaurant with prices, specials, and better menu. I live up the street all the neighbors agree. Shame.

Pictured is the slop the waitress served us when we went here for dinner recently. We also ordered the brownie dessert not pictured, a cold square brownie, not warm, topped with cold vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, and salted caramel. The whole meal, frankly, was disgusting and lacking in proper preparation and presentation! I have no idea what all the bland, tasteless tomato sauce smothered on the spaghetti was about. A third-rate or lower nursing home or jailhouse meal! On the flip side, we have had better food here before, so we know Lucky Penny can do better! I hope management takes note of this review.
