⚠️‼️⚠️‼️‼️‼️Stop hiring irresponsible teenagers to run your establishmentCustomer service sucks there was no one to take my order. The young man was on the grill would not turn around to greet me. I had to ask him was anyone going to come and take my order then he said oh yeah smh not ooooh yea then he said let me go in the back and get them I could literally hear Girls in the back laughing talking. About nonsense when they should’ve been by the food ready to A great people at the door and take their order but no, they come from the back I guess on a talking break with an attitude not wanting to serve anyone putting leftover macaroni salad that’s on the counter inside of the macaroni disgusting I’m definitely going to talk to higher management for sure The tables were filthy.

Good food, fast service and great value for the price. It is nice to have the option of smaller meals.

Horrible just all thrown together everything mixed cold and hard chicken and beef and missing macaroni salad so obviously someone wasn't paying attention and threw it all together I have pictures

Pretty “gentrified” place. I can see how they cater more for non Hawaiians/pacific islander. You can see it too once you enter the place. Food is a bit pricey. You can get 2-5x more food at a local owned Hawaiian restaurant than here. For a place who measures their portions (even uses a scale), they’re pretty inconsistent with the amount of food they give.
Nothing really special about this place. It’s nearby my work so it’s convenient. Every time I eat here, I can’t help but think about the other Hawaiian restaurants - like how they would give out more portions, cheaper platters, more authentic flavors.

Short ribs totally rock! The steak is also a winner. The potato-Mac salad is ok—I add a little salt and pepper. Chicken was my least favorite. Service is friendly and the place is clean. I’ll be back.
Food was delicious!!! I had the large bowl with poké, Kahlua pork and teriyaki steak. For sides I had the garlic edamame and macaroni salad. All of it was amazing! I took home leftovers for 1-2 more meals. I highly recommend. There were plenty of seating and parking.
We have been here before and my husband was really looking forward to the beef ribs. Unfortunately the ribs were not hot when served. Macaroni salad was a little dry compared to typical Hawaiian macaroni salad.
Nice young man CARTER helped me w usual- small katsu/mac/salad. He remembered me from past, katsu was fresh/savory - great portion, salads showed great presentation! Outstanding service CARTER!!!
The teriyaki chicken is A+, and everything else is delicious! We highly recommend and will definitely be back. The macaroni salad is so good, too.

Had a large catering order for 90 people. Food was great! People really enjoyed the chicken and steak. Musubi was a hit as well.
Pick up was on time and the staff for the pick up were exceptional! Will order again next time we are in Las Vegas.

Don't get the poki'.
Since moving to Henderson from Hawaii, of course I miss the food and Makai Island Grill has the BEST FOOD, just like they make in Hawaii and when you go in to sit and eat, you see pictures of the island that brings you back to the days of Aloha and Ohana BBQing on the beach and others all gathering for a day of fun with the kids running and playing or at Magic Island, riding their bikes along as you walk… the staff all welcome you and are so kind and the food, it is true Hawaiian style and taste so ONO just like their servings which is big and so delicious!!
I RECOMMEND MAKAI ISKAND GRILL AS YOU WILL LOVE IT!
Kid-friendliness: My Granddaughter was born & raised in Hawaii and Makai Island Grill is her favorite place to eat just as it is my favorite place to have our meals delivered which is easier for me as I am disabled~ My Granddaughter loves to bring her friends (ages 8-12) and tell them all about Hawaii and share different dishes with them and so far EVERYONE HAS LOVED IT!!
Wheelchair accessibility: However, there is plenty space for me to come in and enjoy a meal (on my disability scooter) to pull up to the table and join my family!
