I keep reading these great reviews of this place. I was in Henderson for the day and ate there based on these reviews. I have to say it was overwhelmingly mediocre. The tables are super close together, and one is always having other patrons, waiters and staff walking right past you. There's lots of kids in here for whatever reason. The waitress spoke to me like she was talking to a little child. It's loud, frequently I could hear the staff and they couldn't hear me. The service is nothing remarkable. The food is o.k. I would suggest not eating here when it is busy,

The name is absolutely perfect for this place! I ordered the Mom's Skillet with country potatoes, green peppers, onion, and sausage gravy and topped with 2 fried eggs. The food looks exactly like something that you would get out of your own kitchen

Very tasty food. My husband had the chicken and fried steak plate which was HUGE. I decided to Branch out with one of their specials. It was a pumpkin bread pudding with a side of kielbasa. I was worried that the pumpkin bread pudding would be too sweet, but it was just right with a sort of pumpkin mousse sauce. It also had cinnamon apples, plus a big dollop of nutmeg sprinkled whipped cream on it. Satisfying.

Went there for breakfast this morning. It was great. They had a lot of good options and the chips with bean dip were great. I had the byo breakfast skillet which was excellent. The service was a little slow as they only had one server.

The staff is very friendly & accommodating. Guessing there might be some of Mom’s family working here. Mom came out and hugged us all and gave the boys kisses ❤️ Mom then brought us out homestyle chips w an awesome red bean dip and green salsa.

12/4 about 12:32 pm hubby and I attempted to have a meal at Moma’s they took our order right away and at 1:45 pm we still had not got served our meal so we inquired about it. The same person that took the order says so sorry it was not put in. Do you want wait for me to put the order in we said no and left. This was not a crowded time so we definitely stood out that we still did not have our meal. Usually great service but we won't go there again. FYI.

Ate at Mom's Kitchen on Tuesday and the meatloaf tasted just like homemade. The mashed potatoes were real, not instant, and the green beans had actual flavor. Portions were generous and the waitress called me honey which made me smile. It's the kind of place where you feel comfortable and the food is exactly what you expect.

Not sure what is hard about over medium eggs, and you specifically ask for no runny snot looking stuff on the eggs. We were served eggs with EXTRA snot.
The hollandaise sauce tastes like sweet orange juice. The corned beef hash eggs benedict is really bad. Corned beef came straight out of a can and was mush, aside from the burnt outside.
We each took 2 bites of our meals and were done. Then the waitress asked if we wanted boxes for our untouched plates. Um, no. Hard pass on taking home snotty slop. Super disappointed I spent $50 for that. HIRE NEW COOKS. Like seriously.
We had the B.A.T.S. Omelet with home potatoes and Mom’s breakfast sandwich and both were extremely delicious. While waiting for our food we were brought chips and salsa which were so tasty we ate them all. We will stop here anytime we are passing through town!

The people here treated my family and myself super bad we felt so uncomfortable. I don’t know if it was because we’re Hispanic, but the waiter was so nasty with an attitude. We actually ended up walking out. I believe the waiter was racist. Which is crazy because the owner is Hispanic
