Excellent food for reasonable prices. Will come back again and again. EDIT: today’s pork fried rice smelled tasted like dirty,moldy rag.

I typically do not write reviews but this experience was worth noting and sharing with the public.
Went to New York Chinese restaurant and here was my experience.
Upon walking in the restaurant , itis small with maybe 6 tables inside.
It was busy with folks waiting for food to go and a few dining in which got me excited. Walked up to the register and told the young man we wanted to dine in. He said sit wherever you like. We sat down and waited maybe 15 minutes for someone to approach our table which was not a great start. Had to go back up to the front and ask for service.
A young lady came and took our order. She brought out our drinks right away, no apology for the wait or pleasentry exchanged . She was not mean just indifferent and not welcoming.
We ordered individual dinner plates that came with soup, a piece of crab rangoon, an eggroll, entree, and fried rice for about $15 which i thought was a good price.
Our server brought out the hot and sour soup. It was awful. The flavors were strange. They gave us a big 16 ounce cup. What a waste.
Next came the crab rangoon and eggroll. Another disaster. Crab rangoon filling was liquidy and sweet. Not my jam. I love eggrolls and had really high hopes based on other reviews, but unfortunately was another fail. Tons of cabbage inside and another awkward sour flavor to boot.
So next it was entree time. My dining companion had the chicken curry. He said it was decent. They brought his food out and it took another 5 minutes before they brought out my egg foo young. That's definitely a no no in my book. Improper serving etiquette that makes the table feel weird with food in front of some and not all for that long. I know this isn't fine dining but come on guys!
Finally my egg foo young was brought to the table. The egg foo young was the ONLY thing that I ate at New York Chinese that I liked. The fried rice was overcooked and bland.
Usually Google reviews don't steer me wrong but
definitely missed the mark on this one. I cannot understand why the high ratings. Maybe to those that haven't had great Chinese food this is good however I'm accustomed to the Chinese food from chinatown in Chicago.
There is way better than this place in Henderson folks.

As a native born and raised New Yorker, who moved to LA and stayed out there for four years and been out in Vegas for a year we have been looking for authentic New York Chinese food. This is identical, cause the people are also from New York who work with the food everything is just like how it will be in New York so if you’re looking for identical, New York Chinese food this is the place to go. This is what it would taste like and the atmosphere feels just like it. It brings me back home. when we go in, it’s not that busy and it’s like two or three people or at least one person or just us a service is quick efficient fast the food is prepped made exquisitely and it’s divine.

The best Chinese food in the area. The lunch specials are a hell of a deal. The lunch specials are $10 - $11 and come with entrée pork fried rice, soup and Crab Rangoon. Make sure to order via their website to get the best prices.

Egg rolls are enormous and very tasty. Egg foo Young best I have had in Vegas. Recommend this place highly.
