I went here a few times just to get a small cup of plain snow cone ice as I am pregnant and crave it and they still charge me 4 dollars! I feel like that is messed up and really getting over on me and they haven't even offered a discount being as though I don't ever get any flavoring and like I said I get a small cup. What's the deal ?

We love purple penguin and go there ALL the time! Kids love the shave ice and I always get the root beer float. Well went there recently and felt like I got skimped on the vanilla ice cream. I think I only took maybe two bites of the ice cream and all that was left was a cup of root beer. That was disappointing. Especially with prices going up everywhere. Did not notice it until I got home because there was a lid on it. Also got a straw, but no spoon. This was at the walk up window. First experience like this, but still love the place and will def go back for the kiddos :D much love

It's like drinking sugar and water. I ordered a small watermelon snow cone thought I was drinking sugar and water. Very expensive almost $14 for a small snow cone and a medium snow cone. Better make sure you have enough money to afford it

I was not a fan of shaved ice until I visited Purple Penguin! I'm used to establishments offering snow cones with large pieces of crushed ice that takes away from the flavoring. Purple Penguin however offered a very nicely shaved ice which was very easy and convenient to consume.I tried a combination of banana and cheesecake and it was so much better than expected. I'll definitely be visiting again.*please note, this is a walk-up establishment. There are a few seats outdoors as you wait for your snow cone.
