Rae's Restaurant & Lounge

For some reason they only take reservations even though the website doesn't say anything about it. The restaurant had 0 people and since we didn't make a reservation, we were denied entry. There is no signs stating the restaurant is open during certain times. Im hoping this was only a 1 time occurance, because I will not return.

Went to raes Christmas Eve. Was told reservation not needed. Showed up at 3:10 they didn't open until 4:00 p.m. and wanted reservation. I was told it was not needed. Then the host was very disrespectful and had a bad attitude. I will never go back. Suggest you don't waste your time either..

Stopped by for a bite to eat and waited 5-10 minutes at the front to be seated. Finally....a waitress came out of the back and said if we didn't have reservations she could not seat us (2) for an hour. I looked around at a half empty restaurant with at least 6 empty tables. We will not be back Joan.

Went in for drinks as I'm new in area but over 20 years in LV/Henderson area. Didn't oder food but was interested in menus options for future visits as I'm in casino industry and always looking for places after work (late swing). Service at 7:30pm is lacking and if not gambling (I don't gamble much anymore, being in industry has taught me a few lessons) it seems your only a nuisance. Recent low comments are correct about this place. I'm willing to give another chance but if problems persis, this place will be AVOIDED.

I live near Rae’s few years ago I started going there regularly then I had a couple bad experiences so I didn’t go for a few years. I decided to go back about two weeks ago walked in said hello to the bartender who I seen before when I was in there a while back, she continued to ignore me for 15 minutes on the phone I’m waving at her trying to get some attention so I can eat ignored me when she got off the phone. She said I’ll be with you when I get to talking to my boss. Everybody here knows that she proceeded to take care of a few other people , I’m assuming regulars are you playing if you’re not playing you can’t sit there I had already lost $50. I said I just want to eat. She said I’ll get to you when I can. I said I can’t believe you treat customers like this. she said then why do you come in here , why don’t you just leave?

Had the prime rib sandwich for lunch yesterday and asked for it to be on the rare side of medium. The server said, "we'll do our best." The prime rib was well-done and it and the au jus had an 'off-taste.' Don't know it it picked up odors from the frig or if it was old. Service was good, though.

First, I lived in the neighborhood when Rae’s opened and have visited many, many times. I have seen it go steadily downhill but still stop for a quick bite now and then. Today was the worst. Stood in the lobby for forever, finally was acknowledged and told to wait for a table to be cleaned. (There were four empty). Waitress was gone forever finally came back and said we’d have to wait 40 minutes because they were “backed” up. Also, stood in the bar for part of the time and the bar tender never acknowledged us. The waitress made it a point to say “make a reservation!” Come on. This is a neighborhood dive with lots of places to be served and we’ve never needed one. Just awful. It’s got to be the owner living off the slot revenue as so many do and don’t give a damn about the bar or food. John Tapper would have a field day here.

I just tried to complain about the poor service I have had by the bartender over the last 3 visits. When I tried to complain I asked to speak to a manager who is actually the lazy bartender I wanted to complain about. The hostess was nice to my face when I was there but when I complained the HOSTESS thinks she has the power to ban me for my complaint of service. Which I’m fine with because what a dump and trash service.I have had to walk into the kitchen to ask for my bill after waiting 25 minutes for this lazy bartender/manager. Today I walked back to her hiding place to ask for the bill after waiting and she was smoking and watching the camera for her front door. Not everyone had the time this lazy bartender has. Some of us have places to go to and things to do.If you want trash service from a ghetto bar you should visit this place of people who find working to be be against their best interest. Talk about about a place where people go that gave up on success. That’s this bar right here.

Great local place. Early bird menu 4 til 6 then dining room is open until 8pm last orders @ 7:45pm. They also serve breakfast & lunch.

They let customers stay there all day long drinking, and then let them drive home

I'm only speaking on the BAR side, NOT the restaurant.No lie, the bartender didn't greet us, seemed like he didn't want to serve us. Made us really feel unwelcome.Food- all I had was fries cause they couldn't make the salad I wanted.Atmosphere was quiet & cold, felt like the morgue. I'm sure if the bartender had a personality & talked to us, I'd have something better to say.
