Went there on Wed. around 1:00pm, they are not open, went back again on Thurs. around 6:30pm, again they are not open. Wonder if they are closed for good.

A friend recommended this spot and it took ages for me to come by! Located clear across town from me, Sushi Kishiwada is closed 2-5PM between lunch and dinner, as well as all day on Sundays. A recent weekday lunch visit was perfect timing to catch them, as well as their great lunch specials. I sat at the sushi bar and had the chirashi bowl, along with an iced green tea and dessert. Interaction with chef and server was limited but polite. Chirashi was pretty standard, well priced with the expected variety of fish, but I like that they included the ikura. The ube Mont Blanc dessert was sweeter than I expected, they also offer a matcha version. Would revisit for lunch again for their Kishiwada deluxe combo, or for a dinner date for their coursed option.

With all the hundreds of A+ sushi restaurants here in Henderson, you've gotta be good to thrive and survive. The sushi was fresh and delish (although all sushi i've had here in Henderson has been wonderful). Friendly service. The only thing this restaurant lacked was the authentic sushi restaurant feel. Little touches like wasabi/ginger set ups, deeper dipping bowls, and small plates would make the experience much better. The tiny square dishes are too shallow to hold enough soy for dipping, and the typical rectangle eating plate was never offered. I was more focused on not making a mess then i was on the food. Sometimes it's the little things that can make a big difference in the experience. Overall, it's a nice little place and we will probably return.

Great meal tonight! Sushi was excellent AND a great value. The kale noodle ramen salad had an extremely tasty dressing. Great miso soup. I also loved the grilled washu-beef which was cooked at the table. The hojicha ice cream was an amazing finish!

Just had a delicious dinner here. Nice, small neighborhood sushi restaurant. Fish was very fresh. Food was delicious. We ordered the combo meal for 2 and loved everything. Our new go to sushi restaurant.

This place is just down the road from my house. My bf and I strolled in here tonight for dinner just to give their food a shot - I've always wanted to come here ever since it opened. Their regular menu and sushi menu are both limited to only a few things though. I had the albacore sashimi and my bf had the tuna sashimi, which both come in five pieces of fish drizzled in sauce. Needless to say, this was the best Japanese food I have ever had in a very long time. I will be back in the near future and I will recommend this place to friends and family. Great food, friendly service!

Want to give this place 5 stars but the sushi list is kind of short... for a sushi place. Maybe they're more about the basic traditional rolls which I'm still a huge fan of and they did those very well but I do like some specialized rolls. They do have a few of those but they're mostly shrimp tempura rolls with slight variations. My wife ordered the udon noodles with beef which we both enjoyed and I thought the broth was really great. It had the slightest sweet taste which was unexpectedly good. Will definitely give them a try again as we like to support our neighboring businesses.

What a gem of a find! This small restaurant tucked away in the corner of the shopping center far exceeded our expectations tonight. We were jonesing for some good Japanese and this place did not disappoint. It's a small, maybe 10 table establishment with a cute sushi bar. Very friendly and welcoming, the waiter was very attentive. We had all the major hits: Agedashi tofu, karaage chicken, gyoza, as well as some festival specials: takoyaki, yakisoba, and doteyaki. Every single dish was on point. So so delicious. We also ordered a Hurricane roll and was treated to a sampling of a California roll. Seafood was all super fresh, will definitely try their nigiri and sashimi next time. We also sampled some desserts. The matcha tea Mont Blanc was one of the best desserts I've had in recent memory, can't wait to try the purple sweet potato flavor. And the hojicha ice cream is one of my favs. If you like green tea, try hoji! It's roasted green tea, very complex and nutty, and lightly sweet. We are excited to have found a really great Japanese restaurant in our area, and plan on becoming regulars. I hope this place gets more popular, they deserve it.

I was hesitant in coming here for dinner, as my girlfriend told me she was starving, and I didn't notice an all you can eat option. We can go through a lot of rolls, but the location is close so we gave it a try. We got the Kishiwada Course for two and were extremely satisfied. The freshness of the fish was on par with locations like Sapporo, and their timing while serving was impeccable. We were never rushed onto the next course, and never had to anxiously wait for the next one to begin. Only draw back was that we had to scrape a little of the wasabi off of the nigiri sushi, as it was portioned a bit too large. The course comes with one specialty roal and we decided to go with the lemon role, which was bright and delicious. However, the best part of the meal was definitely the Washu-Beef BBQ. We have tried one other sushi place that offered the same option in the past, but the little "grill" provided at that location was too slow. Here, the clay grill was a fun surprise that cooked the meat, and veggies quickly. Aside from being practical though, the BBQ was fantastic; the meat had great marbling, the sauce could make a rock taste good, and the veggies paired nicely with the whole buttered affair. The entire meal ended up being surprising large and filling so we couldn't have been happier. The service was nice as well, and as I stated earlier attentive. I hope this place gets some more attention, and I can't wait for the next we go to visit. ps. the Hojicha ice cream is amazing and I'll be looking for that everywhere I go from now on

In town for work. Got to hotel late and sushi sounded good. Decided to try this place out. Waitress was good, but otherwise the place is marginal at best. I arrived at 8:15 pm (closed at 9), sat at bar, and I was one of 3 people in the place. The old guy making sushi seemed very grumpy, flustered, and disorganized. A younger lady was back and for from the kitchen prepping stuff for him. The preparation and look of his sushi was terrible! I got a sushi/sashimi/tempura combination dinner. The half Cali roll was falling apart. The sashimi cuts were thin. And the 3 pieces of maguro were not cut completely and were still somewhat connected. The amount of wasabi he put on the nigiri was a lot, almost too much! I'd skip this place if I stay nearby again.

1st time eating food from this new place. Quality of food is top notch. Lemon roll was amazing in taste but small in size. Salmon is really fresh. Lovely fresh ginger. Standard wasabi green paste. Rice is moist and done right. Garlic edamame is it's own flavor and not like other places. I'll be back for sure.
