I’m a tea newbie and I’ve been meaning to order through Tea & Whisk’s website for months now. I was excited to find that the physical location was five minutes from our Airbnb during my and my husband’s vacation.
Leo is confident, highly informative, and very passionate about his craft. My husband and I easily spent a couple of hours in-store just browsing and chatting, and I wish we had found T&W sooner so we could book a reservation to sit down with Leo and learn more. I went home with a gorgeous gaiwan to gift (in which Leo meticulously hand selects every bit of teaware he offers) and multiple oolong. I regret not going home with any matcha, green tea, or hojicha! I just regret not buying more in general because there is soooooo much to pick from and everything is high quality.
We plan on visiting Las Vegas again soon, with visiting Leo as the biggest priority. What an absolute gem in the area. Thank you, Leo and the team at T&W!
I’ve been purchasing matcha online monthly from Tea & Whisk since I visited their business on vacation in April 2025. It’s truly the best matcha on the market. Leo (the owner) is very knowledgeable and passionate about what he does. With the current matcha shortage, I’ve noticed the quality from other suppliers has gone downhill. But Tea & Whisk’s matcha remains consistently high quality. I recommend their matcha to everyone!
Absolutely love Tea & Whisk. I make sure to visit every time I’m in Las Vegas. The staff are extremely knowledgeable and passionate about tea. You will learn so much from them and their expertise. If you are looking for a great quality tea, tea steeping set or matcha then be sure to check them out. A must for any tea lover.
I ordered a $90 matcha set online and they sent me the complete wrong one then after days of no response they told me I can return it to them for the correct one or keep the wrong one for 30% off. There is no world where I should be inconvenienced for their mistake. Any other business would tell me to keep the set while sending the proper one and apologize for their mistake. I had to reach out via instagram when they didn't get back to me over email & was left on read. Don't send the wrong items if you don't want to pay for them!
UPDATE: now they’re threatening to not give me any discount at all if I don’t remove this honest review. Shameful.
“System abuse” is crazy when you literally didn’t send me what I paid for and expect ME to fix the mistake you made sending me something entirely different. I love to support small businesses who don’t threaten their customers after they make mistakes they’re unwilling to fix!
I really loved this store. It’s so beautiful inside and they have a great variety of products offered. I know previous reviews have been upset by the bags they use to package their tea and matcha products. However, I purchased green tea and 3 ounces matcha powder end of June, it is now August the bags have kept my products a vibrant because you have control of pushing the excess air out of the bags. They put a lot of effort into educating guests on different teas and I had an amazing experience when I went into the shop. I got to try different types of teas and learn a little bit about where they come from and how to properly use them.
Variety of high-quality tea. Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. A must visit.
From tea and whisk I purchased an award winning Tsuyuhikari tamaryokucha, 2oz for $30. It took a few days longer to thip than I expected. When it arrived, it was in a bland brown package with no instructions. The QR code navigated to the product page where I had to search more for the recommended brewing.
The smell of the tea is rich umami and mildly sweet. The flavor is very mild umami, gently sweet, and a heavy mouth feel. It's a very good tea. 4 stars for the tea, minus one star for cheap packaging and branding, an injustice for this tea.
I also bought a $50 ceremonial matcha. Which shouldn't come in such a boring brown bag with no information on the brewing, or the tea cultivator.
Very great personalable customer service. Super knowledgeable. Ask for an appointment for tastings.
Tea & Whisk offers a wonderful selection of high-quality teas with a cozy ambiance. The staff is knowledgeable and helps you pick the right tea based on your preference.
Must-Try Items:
✔ Matcha Latte – Smooth, rich, and perfectly balanced.
✔ Oolong Tea – Fragrant and flavorful, a must for tea lovers.
✔ Chai Blend – Aromatic with a nice spice kick.
The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that prices are slightly on the higher side, but the quality makes it worth it. Definitely a great place for tea enthusiasts!
While my items (various teas, a Gaiwan, and a very expensive teapot) were packed well for shipping, the packaging for the teapot and Gaiwan were poor, and I had to repackage them before gifting.
The teapot was expensive, and I expected the packaging to reflect that. It’s my fault for assuming this, and I’ll know better next time.

An absolutely amazing tea experience! Leo is the teacher and the student at the same time. He is bringing quality, unbelievably delightfully tasty tea to the United States. He went way over two hours, his time and knowledge is greatly admired. He gave us an amazing experience and even changed our perspective on black tea. I can not wait to try the matcha tea experience, once he is back from Asia. It is inspiring to see someone follow their passion and allow others to experience it.
Leo IS the Teamaster! He really knows his stuff and is always patiently willing to share his vast knowledge with you. He keeps up on the latest teas developments and trends with ongoing trips overseas to SE Asia. His tea salon is a most welcoming environment and a great place to mellow out over some amazing teas and pick up some great teas for home too! Go to Tea and Whisk - you won't be sorry!
I always come visit Leo when I am in Vegas to restock on tea. He is eager to share his passion and he will let you try the teas you are buying. I have not been disappointed any time I am here. He also sells a lot of cool tea sets and gift sets.
Love the quality of tea, the atmosphere and how knowledgeable and informative the owner is!
What a wonderful experience! I surprised my mother in law with the private tea tasting experience with Leo. I knew so little about tea and after this experience it opened my eyes to explore more styles of tea. Everything is so unique in their shop, I walked out with two kinds of tea and a pretty travel tea set. I definitely want to come back and taste more teas!
