Benjamin was fantastic! We just moved to the area and this will most definitely become our go to spot!
We came in because the door was opened and the dude behind the door yelled, We aren’t open yet” in a get out of here kind of tone. So won’t ever be back. Sorry we were three minutes early. It’s okay to chill.
Always the best experience here- Lacey and the rest of the staff are fantastic!
This is a fabulous wine bar! All wines are curated by the knowledgeable staff. It feels like it caters to locals. Highly recommended!
Good was good and luckily we ended up with a good waitress. Bartender heavy set dude with curly hair ignored us and was on his phone. Said goodbye as we were leaving.
The Local is a cozy gem with a welcoming vibe, delicious food, and great drinks. The friendly staff and laid-back atmosphere make it the perfect spot to unwind!
I have been wanting to pop in to this spot for quite some time. Finally had a reason to visit. I went to the District to go to an appointment. Completed some shopping at REI and stopped in for happy hour. Honestly the menu selections for drinks were very limited. There was a beer, 🍺 a dirty martini and a wine option. The prices were around $6-9. I did not eat here. The service was superb. Friendly, attentive and fast!
However, with the number of options available-I wouldn’t return. The price point is higher and the menu is far too limited. The space is very tight.
Beautiful service
Pros: EXTENSIVE wine list. The Old Fashioned was made well.
Cons: Needs more food on the menu, more variety of snacks. More to offer during happy hour besides just one house red, white, draft beer, and a dirty martini. Maybe do a rotating happy hour cocktail — each day a different cocktail. And add some snacks for happy hour too.
The caprese salad is beautiful and tasty, but a little heavy-handed with the balsamic and olive oil. A little goes a long way. No reason to be wasteful and drench the cheese, tomatoes, and basil with sauce.
Service was fine, though my server never did offer water. I ordered a cocktail but water should be standard.
Cute spot for a date or a small group of friends.

Cozy ,elegant . I hesitate to say wine bar. (There is a very nice wine selection) Because of the excellent cocktails. Killer bourbon selection. Tequila's . Mezcal and craft beer offerings. The bar is well curated. Excellent staff. Friendly and engaging. Highly recommend

Attention wine enthusiast and lovers of an occasional glass of Vino. I came across this spot in Green Valley, (The District). It offers an array of great tasting wines and cocktails.I’d recommend the Malbec and the Watermelon Foam Margarita. They both tasted great and were priced accordingly.Outdoor seating is available, as well as, a bar type counter design with an open concept allowing customers to experience an outdoor atmosphere without being outside. This is a nice chill spot which, will undoubtedly be a hot spot as summer approaches.

Decent food and drink, we had a sweet waitress.. what killed the experience was 20 mins b4 close the bartender drops the check on the table and shews my date and I out of the restaurant.. as a restaurant manager for the last decade plus I understand how things work but that was completely unacceptable, then he comes back disrespectfully asking if I left a cash tip because there was nothing on the cc receipt. Yes I did leave a 20% cash tip cause our waitress was sweet and kind but his disrespect is the reason I’ll never be back. The bartender was over weight and bearded FYI, beware of the d-bag!

Nice little spot in The District, which is a great stop for a glass of wine and a cheese board. Food options are limited and tend to be light. The place itself is small and intimate. It can get crowded and noisy at certain times as well. We’ve come here several times and have always had a nice time and drank some good wine and cocktails.
