Drinks are over priced. Have to sit yourself and it’s a small place. went yesterday evening and it smelt like a porta potty. Sat down and watched a heavy set server sit on his phone and mingle with the other employees. Take pictures of random people at a booth. He threw the menus on the table and never came back. Managed to give another table refills but never came to get our order. Did I swear everything but serve. We ended up getting up and leaving and went to parkway tavern. They were busier and still we were able to order right away.
Don’t bother spending your money here. Go elsewhere. God awful service

I have been here twice and enjoyed the drinks both times. The first time, we ordered drinks with the 8 cheese selection. We all enjoyed the drinks and cheeses.
During this visit, we ordered the Planet of the Aprocots, the Cactus, Nutty by Nature (pictured on left), and Strawberry Fields (pictured on right). I will be returning!

Walked in, no one greeted, so I put my name on the wait-list and went walking around the shopping area. Till this day, never got a call or text about a table being open/ready.

Ceiling was leaking, charcuterie was mid if u tell them you aren't drinking they will bring you a glass and fill it anyways apparently. Watched some lady being obnoxious/annoying that should have been cut off or asked to leave by the bartender 20 minutes prior have the entire bar conspire a fabricated story on this patron to justify one of the regulars beating her up. Any other service worker worth their salt would have been able to handle this situation before it got out of hand but instead they all just stood by watched and then celebrated what happened. They told the gentleman and lady the assaulted woman was with the cameras just happened to be down but I heard someone that worked there say otherwise. Who knows whats is true with how poorly everything seems to be handled in this place but after what I saw happen I couldn't recommend this as a fun or even safe place to be with the lack of accountability of the staff, building issues they won't fix, no surveilance for anyones safety, even the front door is on wrong. One emergency situation and the whole place is cooked. Usually drinks with acceptably mid cheese selection in a good atmosphere will get you far as a wine bar but this place doesn't feel safe for anyone. After 2 visits here I have seen enough.

We came in because the door was opened and the dude behind the door yelled, We aren’t open yet” in a get out of here kind of tone. So won’t ever be back. Sorry we were three minutes early. It’s okay to chill.
Always the best experience here- Lacey and the rest of the staff are fantastic!
This is a fabulous wine bar! All wines are curated by the knowledgeable staff. It feels like it caters to locals. Highly recommended!
Good was good and luckily we ended up with a good waitress. Bartender heavy set dude with curly hair ignored us and was on his phone. Said goodbye as we were leaving.

The Local is a cozy gem with a welcoming vibe, delicious food, and great drinks. The friendly staff and laid-back atmosphere make it the perfect spot to unwind!
I have been wanting to pop in to this spot for quite some time. Finally had a reason to visit. I went to the District to go to an appointment. Completed some shopping at REI and stopped in for happy hour. Honestly the menu selections for drinks were very limited. There was a beer, 🍺 a dirty martini and a wine option. The prices were around $6-9. I did not eat here. The service was superb. Friendly, attentive and fast!
However, with the number of options available-I wouldn’t return. The price point is higher and the menu is far too limited. The space is very tight.
Beautiful service
Pros: EXTENSIVE wine list. The Old Fashioned was made well.
Cons: Needs more food on the menu, more variety of snacks. More to offer during happy hour besides just one house red, white, draft beer, and a dirty martini. Maybe do a rotating happy hour cocktail — each day a different cocktail. And add some snacks for happy hour too.
The caprese salad is beautiful and tasty, but a little heavy-handed with the balsamic and olive oil. A little goes a long way. No reason to be wasteful and drench the cheese, tomatoes, and basil with sauce.
Service was fine, though my server never did offer water. I ordered a cocktail but water should be standard.
Cute spot for a date or a small group of friends.

Cozy ,elegant . I hesitate to say wine bar. (There is a very nice wine selection) Because of the excellent cocktails. Killer bourbon selection. Tequila's . Mezcal and craft beer offerings. The bar is well curated. Excellent staff. Friendly and engaging. Highly recommend
