A great dinner - oysters were from gulf of America and didn't have the brine flavor we like. They were also large. Everything else we loved . Service (Liza) & chef (Miguel) were amazing. Definitely go & enjoy as a casual feast!

The Oyster Bar was recently renamed from Tides Oyster Bar to simply Oyster Bar. The menu choices were reduced. This was my local placed for red clam chowder, but the chowder was bland and simply was not very good. We also had some of the least flavorful linguine with white clam sauce imaginable. I am hopeful the other station casinos' clam bars have maintained the quality to which l have grown accustomed, but l will not return to the GVR Oyster Bar.

We've been going to Tides since it opened and enjoyed their pan roasts, etouffee, jambolaya, steak and sushi. Then they eliminated the sushi and steak. Then changed the name to the Oyster Bar and raised the prices. $17 for a 6 oz glass of wine. On the Strip, $17 is expensive. In Henderson and a "local" casino it's outrageous. The food was good, but since they've removed meat from the menu and moved sushi to their new overpriced shushi bar we'll look for another place to spend our money.

A excellent seafood restaurant. The New England clam chowder is delicious, jambalaya is just perfect and the pan roasts are top tier delicious.

We arrived for our 8pm reservation. We were greeted by a friendly face and promptly seated. Our server was friendly and efficient. She gave some recommendations for the oysters that were spot on. And when one diner had trouble deciding her suggestion proved to be perfect. The food portions were much larger than anticipated for the price and we ended up with some leftovers, but everything was amazing.

They change the menu, they took a lot of great food they had off the menu. Like the grilled oysters and the gumbo. We ordered the gumbo and it was nasty and taste freezer burned. We had to send the food back and the waitress seemed like like she mad we sent it back. Like she was the chef. I got sick later from eating two bites of the nasty food. It was a horrible experience.

Another GVR FAILURE. After last week's HANKs food disaster, we decided to give GVR another shot, this time at TIDES. Bad choice. We made a reservation (there were 6 people in the place) and we asked to be seated at a table. We were seated at a sticky table with food crumbs, wet something and used napkins. We were not about to order seafood after this poor first impression and the cold and raw Hanks failure.
GVR nice place but the Restaurant Director needs to due some recon on the product. It is subpar and not getting any of our business, or anybody who asks me.
We celebrated our Anniversary and my birthday elsewhere.
