2024Nov19Wed: It’s my wife’s birthday and she’s craving for some Japanese food- and this place did not disappoint!! Another good find in our Henderson neighborhood for an authentic family restaurant operated by Owner/Chef Hirofumi Miyoshi. Not an AYCE place but each ala carte order is meticulously prepared by Chef Hiro with the freshest fish and seafood of highest quality along with other elevated ingredients. Looking forward to our next visit and try chef’s Omakase offering. A definite gem that will be in our rotation !!!!
We placed an order to go. We ordered two bento boxes, which consisted of the choice of two entrees, rice, salad and soup. But because we ordered to go they do not include the soup on to go orders. The food was delicious but the portions were small. We paid $48 for our dinner. We feel that it was a little over priced for what you get. The staff was very nice. We will probably not return.

I ordered fried pork cutlet rice. The seasoning was great and delicious. However, I had to wait a long time for the food to be served. People who are in a hurry should be careful.

I can't really fault much of this place as the hospitality, venue and food were quite spectacular. Everyone was super polite, service was fast and efficient, and food was simply delicious.
I had the experience of their omakase and the produce was definitely fresh, and every piece of fish or seafood spoke for itself. There were one or two pieces that did make me feel like they may have overdressed it (eg Scallop was slightly sour with a bit too much citrus, green tea creme brulee was denser than I anticipated but that richness of matcha was sublime!)
Nonetheless, highly recommend, and chef Hiro is amazing! Super humble and such a kind soul.

Please give yourself a gift and do the omakase menu on the counter with chef Hiro! Fish forward, real sushi, great food presentation, and conversation with the chef. The best Japanese wagyu, miso cod, uni, and jellyfish ever! Totally worth the money. The a la carte menu is also great and they can accommodate gluten free needs in some dishes. Plus you can’t beat the atmosphere of being in a diner having sushi!
Dietary restrictions: They can accommodate some dishes for gluten free needs. They offer gluten free soy sauce (tamari).
Love this place. My own little Japanese oasis. Great sushi, great staff, and Chef Hiro is a great guy and fun to talk with.
