YO Mochi: A Sweet Surprise While Waiting on Wings
I stumbled upon YO Mochi while waiting to pick up my Buffalo Wild Wings—an impromptu stroll through the strip mall turned into a mochi moment I didn’t expect.
As a longtime mochi lover, I couldn’t resist stepping inside. The space itself is modest—small, simple, and unassuming. But the mochi doughnuts? Visually stunning. I went all in with a half-dozen: Fruity Pebble, Crème Brûlée, Churro, Strawberry Shortcake, plus two malasadas—OG and Custard.
Ordering felt familiar, reminiscent of the Pinkbox process: pick your flavors, watch them box it up fresh. And fresh they were—each bite soft, chewy, and full of flavor. The Crème Brûlée had a lovely caramelized top, the Churro was cinnamon-sugar comfort, and the Fruity Pebble brought playful nostalgia. The malasadas were pillowy and indulgent.
💸 Price point? $15 for six. Not cheap, but not outrageous for specialty doughnuts. Worth it for a treat, especially if you’re already nearby.
Would I go out of my way for it? Probably not. But if I find myself in that shopping center again, I’d happily pop in for another round. YO Mochi isn’t a destination—it’s a delightful detour

We’ve been customers since they first opened a few years ago, and they’ve consistently delivered high quality, delicious mochi donuts.
The store is always spotless, and you can really tell they care about maintaining a great experience for their customers. Highly recommend!

It was our first time trying these mochi donuts and we absolutely loved them! I’ve always been a fan of both mochi and donuts and these were the perfect mix. It's crispy on the outside, soft and chewy inside. Even my kids couldn’t get enough Definitely a new family favorite!
Don't waste your money here. Go to Mochinut or Aware Coffee if you want good Mochi donuts. We went in on a weekend. Got home to try our donuts and they were extremely stale. None of that soft pillowy mochi donut, just stale donut that was tough. Donut shops that sell stale donuts should just close their doors and give up. This place seems like they decided to open up a claw machine shop and then thought, let's also sell stale donuts and coffee while people come to play. Will not be coming back. $3 a piece for stale mochi donuts.
First time customer.
Ordered 2 Mochi Donuts. Both werent fresh, and stale, as if it was grabbed from the display only. They didn't have all the flavors shown online.
Ordered 2 Mochi Corndogs. It's absolutely terrible. I had a Half-Half with Hot Cheeto as a topping (Cheese + Hotdog). The batter proportion was very uneven. It tasted burnt. And the worst part, it wasnt even half and half, it was 80% Cheese, 20% hotdog.
Customer service was poor, they only had 1 employee in the shop, told us that everything will be ready shortly after paying, and we waited 30mins.
Highly do not recommend if you enjoy Mochi Donuts or Korean Corndogs. Paina and Crunchees is so much better
I walked in and stood at the counter while three people behind it completely ignored me, until I said ‘hello!’. Customer service here seriously needs work. As a first-time customer, wouldn’t it make sense to try to upsell me or at least ask if I want to try anything else? Especially if I’m new to your product and willing to try and spend.
After I placed my order, the tall guy walked off without offering my receipt or telling me to please wait while we get your food. Instead he went to talk to two people training on how to serve donuts. Not rocket science! I waited about 5 minutes patiently. After the two girls chatted the tall guy described my order and when he finally came back, he didn’t even offer me a receipt. He just told the trainees to pack my five donuts—“Use the small box, no wrapping, just dump them in and that’s that.
This place has potential, but the lack of decent customer service is holding it back. It really does affect the business. Hopefully next time I come in as a paying customer, I’ll actually get treated like one.
Love itand the candy Apple fritter was great
Stopped by fo taste the Mochi Doughnuts and unfortunately for me it was just ok. I do love the decor.
Quite literally the best mochi donut I’ve ever had, came in an hour before close and the mochi donuts tasted so fresh and soft. The crème brûlée ube was my fav, the cookies and cream one was delish, the coconut one was amazing!! I love the new combinations and I hope they keep making more!

We came from Florida for vacation and our 10yo daughter insisted we try Mochi Donuts while we were here. We tried Creme Brule, cookies and cream, and biscoff. All were so good and the woman behind the counter was so sweet.
We were here a year ago , and the menu was great so we decided to come back but unfortunately everything had changed., service is very poor . Girls in the front don’t even smile . :(
This place is a joke. I waited 1 hour to get 2 donuts. Lol
I ended up asking for a refund. There was 2 male employees working on Saturday afternoon and both were the worst employees I have ever seen.
