Another dinner @ Yorktown. , with Thursday night music on a keyboard. Dinner was awesome as usual. Lots of people came by our table to thank my Rudy for his service. Everyone is always so friendly. Especially the staff.
Potstcker and bruechtta appetizers were very good. The chicken katsina was overdone and the crispy salmon burger was crisp on the outside and mushy in the middle. Couldn't taste the salmon. I make a better salmon burger with canned salmon from the store. The cocktails and French fries were excellent.
This is my third visit. I had the Patty Melt which was very good. My niece had the Roasted Chicken which was very dry as though it was cooked earlier and then microwaved. My nephew had the BBQ Beef sandwich which he said was okay. My husband had the Greek Salad with Chicken, which was a good size with chunks of chicken, lots of lettuce, but just a sprinkling of olive halves and feta cheese. Overall, the food was okay. The prices were on par with like restaurants. Of course, the views are spectacular! I just wish they could take the food up a notch to make me want to come more often.
It started with the manager not wanting to seat us outside. Odd that he didn't say, "We closed outside already". Instead, he said, "I don't want to seat anyone outside". Tables were set up including umbrellas. In fact, saw him taking everything down right before we left. Although only a few tables, as in less than 5 or 6, time to get drinks, food, etc. was very long. We started to wonder if the bartender and cook were same person. Went for their Taste of New York. Waldorf salad - don't think so. Manhattan clam chowder - vegetable soup broth with clams. I don't remember the name of the New York Reuben, something like High Tower - nope - same Reuben they also serve. Very disappointed in this last visit.
Service was great. You brought back the eggplant parmigiana with linguini which pleased us. The eggplant was excellent, however the linguini was not ala dente and the sauce was horrible. It was bland and seemed water down. We didn't eat the linguini. The first time we had it was a few months ago. It was outstanding. Then you took it off the menu and brought it back. I was expecting it to be as good as the first time. We also had the shrimp spinach artichoke dip, it was really good.
We went for Tea. It was new to the restaurant. It was very good. Would have liked the option to not have a mimosa since it was a separate charge on the check. Overall, I hope they do it again.
Excellent Fisherman's Basket with Cod, fries, hush puppies and coleslaw. The fish was perfect, fresh, not fishy and most of all not greasy. Loved it. Prime Rib French Dip sandwich was filled with plenty of beef. Look forward to returning.
My family went to Yorktown's brunch on Sunday for the first time. The food was excellent. My eggs benedict was perfectly prepared! The pancakes were as good as IHOP (my favorite)!!! And according to my 4 year old twins, the chicken fingers and French fries were delicious!!! The prices were comparable to other places...but, the view is much better at Yorktown!
Is very relaxing. Service and food were great.

Our party of 7 visited Yorktown for their 1-year anniversary on Wednesday. The bar was full but the restaurant was about half full at 4:30. We were greeted and seated when we arrived. Water was brought to the table and our waitperson was there to take our drink order. Drinks arrived shortly thereafter. Nice pours on the wines (under $4 per glass), liberal amount of Jack with a splash on the rocks, and the "special" Manhattan was very tasty. Dinner questions were asked, and orders were taken. We asked if creating 5 separate bills would be an issue and they said no problem. There was no "tip" added to our individual bills. Noise levels were lower than most restaurants that we enjoy, and no one had trouble hearing or speaking to people at the other end of the table. Food was brought out in a short time. The pasta primavera (gluten free, by the way) was very good and very hot. Greek salad was cold and crisp. Yakitori skewers were very good, and the meatloaf was a hit as well. A few of us ordered the banana split and shared with our spouses. Service throughout the evening was very good. By the way, I believe all the tables in the restaurant were occupied by the time we were served our dinners. All in all, we were impressed with every aspect of the restaurant from the view and noise levels to the service and food/beverage quality. And the prices were very reasonable and lower than BJ's, Black Mountain Grill, Giuseppe's, etc. And it's tough to beat the view of the valley through the north-facing glass wall. We had a great time and will return often.

This is a beautiful restaurant with a view to die for. Service was outstanding—friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Food came quickly and hot! It was delicious. I recommend this restaurant.
Had hawaiin-style grilled salmon. Came with jasmine rice and grilled veggies. Nice portions. Tasted great! They have some very interesting desserts that kept calling me...so I answered. It was very unique and very good. glass of Chardonnay wine was under $5. I will definitely add this to my list of "reguar" restaurants.
Everything we ordered was great. We had a fabulous view. A bonus was lounge music on Thursday night. He was perfect with his selection and the sound level. A very nice evening out.
We had a very nice and enjoyable dinner at Yorktown - we sat outside, enjoyed the beautiful view and great food. Juan was our server and was awesome - he took care of us all evening.
The Jamaican Jerk Chicken was very good. I would have preferred it a bit warmer. The service was outstanding and the food was served in a timely manner . The server checked several times to see how things were going. I really liked the Pineapple Upside Down cake for dessert. Would really like to see a change in the menu.
