We had an incredible experience at Big Water Grille. We had our rehearsal dinner and welcome party there in October. Fantastic food, service and atmosphere! We can’t wait to be back for a celebratory dinner.

My boyfriend and I stopped by Big Water Grille to ask about a gift card we had ordered about a month ago. The manager, Chris, went above and beyond to help us! He immediately replaced the card on the spot and was incredibly kind and professional throughout the whole interaction. We decided to stay for a drink afterward and took in the cozy ambiance by the fireplace. Between the setting and Chris’s warmth, it truly made our visit special! We left feeling so grateful for how caring and attentive he was. Thank you, Chris, for turning a small issue into such a positive experience! We cannot wait to come back!

It's a large restaurant with plenty of tables, yet almost empty. When we arrived, we waited a good ten minutes at the entrance before anyone noticed us. Eventually, we were seated at the front, near just two other tables. One waitress spent over forty minutes at one table, the other about thirty at another. We were finally served, but the food was mediocre. Honestly, poorly done and not worth it. No interest at all, definitely not recommended.
Did not have an opportunity to try any food as attended a private party function with just drinks.
Great view. The sunset was not spectacular but we have been there when they were. The staff and chefs were outstanding. The food was spectacular. I rated the sound level as quiet which it was until a group of 10 arrived. It was fine as we were about ready to leave any way. I would highly recommend Big Water Grill to anyone looking for a fine dining experience.
Great view. Try table 43 in September. Spectacular sunset. Chris - our server - was great

Disappointed with our experience at BWG. This is a special place that I have used for special occasions. Food this time was really inexcusably bad. They have a fairly small menu which should be easy to produce perfectly. My wife's meal was really bad. Overcooked fish in soggy batter. My halibut was overcooked and quite tasteless. Our server, though nice was so slammed that she didn't even come to check on the food or we may have sent it back. I ate half of mine but my wife could not. Cocktails were good! Next time, if ever we will have a drink and a burger at the bar!
We always love Big Water Grill and will continue to go there! Great food and very good service. The menu changes from time to time, so sometimes we cannot get our favorites! Of course, it's a bit spendy, but enjoyable :)
Great time, great food, best service. Jordan was our server, what a lovely job she did. Her assistant for the evening was just as special. Really great time, and was great to share with my mom for her birthday.
Incredibly beautiful venue, beautiful views of Lake Tahoe and the trees all over. Came here for my sister's wedding, the event staff was incredibly attentive, the food was amazing, all the desserts were outstanding as well. The bartender Nick and manager Jordyn were very helpful with making sure everything was wonderful. I'd definitely come back here again 🌄

One of our favorite regular spots in town. Attentive and friendly service and excellent COLD martinis and yummy food!! Love dining there w big groups of friends or just sitting at the bar if it's just my husband and me.
Halibut was bland and fish & chips were mediocre. Highly overrated with beautiful views

They have gone through several chefs in the past year. The current chef is excellent. Can't say enough good things about the food. Husband had a chicken pasta dish. Chicken was so tender and moist. My pork was a huge, juicy cut with an amazing broccoli and hummus puree. We will definitely be back.
Our server was too busy with so many customers that he couldn't be as attentive. The food was mediocre at best and took forever to come out. You can tell the food sat under what lamps for a while and my filet was overcooked. We weren't even offered dessert at the end of our meal. I did appreciate them seating us by the window as we were there celebrating our elopement.
So sad…I want to love this restaurant…it’s a beautiful spot but the food is always not great and now even the drinks and service is just bad. Went with a group Sat night, seating by bar was wide open. Asked the bar tender if we could sit at a table for 8 he was completely fine with it. Our waitress took our order, I always order a slightly dirty martini, I even say just a small amount of olive juice. My matini came bright green and tasted like an olive jar. Sent it back and asked for less all of juice, when it came back a second time, it was just the same, almost as if the bartender just put the same martini in a shaker with ice and put it back in a martini glass . Our waitress was very annoyed at this and proceeded to treat everyone in our party poorly for the rest of the evening while we are there ordering drinks, wine, and beer. She would bring drinks after 20 minutes. She was rude, and the whole experience was very unpleasant and uncomfortable. I will never go back to big water Grille again it’s a waste of time and money. It’s sad because I live in the area and there is a limited amount of good restaurants. Big water Grille do better, it’s not that hard to treat your customers with respect and kindness.
