When in Las Vegas Chinatown looking for Cantonese flavor then this is a very nice lunch or dinner spot with some fine specialty items on the menu (Roast Duck, Chicken, BBQ Pork, or Deep Fried Pork, and more).

We bought one of the Roast Duck (to go). It is great and plump and juicy too. The marinade has a bit less 5 Spice flavor than some others in town. The Plum sauce is home made and it on the mild side (not as salty) as others. Try it some time.

Of course, they offer a large traditional menu as well. During our time (excuse the pictures because I took them after we ate 1/2 our meal) we had the Salt & Pepper Chicken wings (spicy, and you get 11) which were fantastic, the Broccoli Beef (which uses Chinese version of Broccoli), and a couple bowls of rice. All of it was tasty.

Service was fast, and when we nearly ran out of Tea, they refreshed the pot for us for free without even asking, which is something that we almost never see.

My wife comes here with her troop of older school friends from the mainland for lunch on the weekends every so often.

Authentic Chinese food, made by Authentic Chinese people.
Good value for money and appears popular with families.
Nice and cozy inside.
Plenty of free parking outside.
Tasty Peking Duck and lots of other favorites.

We stayed in Vegas for 5 days. I am from HongKong 40 years ago. Everytime we went to big city always looking for Cantonese styles which is like BBQ duck pork such such! Finally we found this BBQ king OMG! This restaurant food is incredible Waitress was very friendly and atmosphere is more than fair! I felt back I found this restaurant two days before I leave back to Kansas. I have been tried Nea Asian Dim sum and seafood restaurant also Hong Kong seafood. That was not comparison at all time, the price is less expensive than the other two but the portions are way lot more than I thought, I am highly recommend BBQ king to everyone (Chinese or foreign visitors) you won’t regret because it worth every bite you are in this restaurant

Came to eat here specifically for a roasted duck craving. I don't usually ever leave low reviews but it wasn't that great of an experience.

I will start with what went well first.. the service was great. The waitresses were attentive and kind. The restaurant was clean and tables were clean as well. The FLAVOR of the food was good. More on that later..

What didn't go well... Again, came specifically for the roasted duck. Also got a 3 meat combination BBQ platter, and a chicken fried rice to share with my beloved.

All the food came out within 5 minutes of us being seated, which points to it all being cooked earlier and reheated throughout the day. For the prices, it should be relatively fresh. (Duck was $21 for half, and 3 meat combo was $29) That is way too fast, especially for things that are meant to be crispy, roasted and bbq'd. Which led to the food being very cold. Not hot at all. Duck was cold to the touch. This sucked because the flavor was good! The only thing hot was the fried rice.

We ended up only staying for about 10-15 mins after getting our food. Got everything packed to go and ended up putting them in our convection oven at home to get it hot and crispy. When we did that, the food was really great. Taste is wonderful and the duck was juicy.

I hope it was a one off experience. I was really looking forward to enjoying true crispy roasted duck and did not get it for what we paid ($76). We came at 7p on a Saturday night, they close at 9p so we definitely had enough time to enjoy the food had it been properly heated through. When fresh, I am sure everything is really great.

I ordered takeout and my change was not returned. When I asked, I said, "Do you still want 7 cents?" Then why did you charge me 3 cents less? I bought another side dish, but I still charged the original price, so I paid for it! This is not a question of money. There are many reasons for not wanting to get the change back, but this is the most uncomfortable way of saying it. All in all, this is a very bad consumer experience. I do not recommend this place. The food is not ideal. The roast duck is super salty and fishy. I will never patronize it again and will tell all my friends not to go there to avoid stepping into the trap.

Very disappointed in the BBQ chicken...mostly bones and skin. BBQ pork was okay,

Service was quick, however, server didn't speak English and needed another person to take my order.

It was my first and last experience here.
