I decided this year to celebrate my 40th birthday in Vegas and what better way than to have a “Welcome to Vegas” birthday cake. Initially I assumed the Bellagio patisserie would be pricy but honestly I was blown away by their affordability and quality. I placed the order online & called in a few extra touches. The cappuccino gelato was great. We also enjoyed the tiramisu. The fruit tart was awful. It was said to have a vanilla bean custard in it. It had no flavor and was covered in a goopy gelatin. It was not sweet and tasted like plain crust and plain gelatin. No trace of vanilla. The fruit wasn’t ripe so we picked the strawberries and cantaloupe off and threw the rest away. For the high price, we had hoped it would all be delicious. The line took forever and it was a one and done...
