Service was good. Marie our greeter was sweet and let us choose what seats we wanted from what was available. Our waitress was friendly...but she was swamped with so many tables. The cold seafood platter was the best. 3 raw oysters, a few shrimps and 2-3 snow crab legs. The crab cakes were very overcooked and dry. We forced ourselves to share 1. The seafood pan roast tastes like spaghetti sauce with added cream. Missing the Nawlins flavor! The clam chowder was the best dish, but it truly had a lot of salt. Much more flavor than the pan roas though. It was a 1st time experience, but we doubt we will come back.
Fresh seafood. Bbq oysters were special. Their complimentary bread and butter goes well being dunked in their soups. Nilla banana dessert had real bananas in it!
The food and service is always good at Big Al's. Location is nice in the Orleans Casino
Horrible service not busy took 20 minutes to even order drinks, never came back to check on us or refill waters pop etc. good food but needs better staff
We were really looking forward to eating here tonight. There were 4 of us. We had reservations. We got seated right away which was great. As we were waiting for waitress to take our order, we heard a loud bell being rung. My back was to it so it startled me every time they rang it and it was extremely loud. It reminded me of the big bell that would be rung on a farm to notify you to come in for dinner. Our same waitress brought our dinners out and had no idea who had what. She never checked in on us until she started taking away our plates. She even asked our friend while he was eating if she could take his plate. Throughout the whole dinner, the bell kept being rung. So I finally asked the waitress, what's with the bell ... and she informed us that it is rung when the wait staff is not there when the food comes out. The 4 of us were not impressed. The food was okay. The atmosphere was disappointing, the service was mediocre and we probably won't go back. She didn't even ask if we wanted 1 or 2 checks. It could have been a really nice dinner, It just wasn't.
Made a reservation for 9:30 on a saturday night. Got there a little early and was seated right away. I chose to sit at the bar as I was by myself. Server came up right away got my drink and brought me fresh bread which was very good. Ordered the jambalaya. Huge bowl and unbelievably good. One of the best dishes I've ever had. Needless to say, between the excellent service and the great food, next time in Vegas this will be a definate stop on my list and would recommend them to everyone.
Great service and the food is delicious. We always get the New England clam chowder. It's the best.
The seafood salad was just ok. Not much crab on it. And the rest of the seafood was meh. We left most of it. Their clam chowder was delicious though. The bowl is plenty for two people.
Let's start with the staff.
Mercedes wasn't evene my waitress, but she guided me threw the menu and oh my! The mixed Seafood was insane! Best I've had since my last trip to Louisiana, and trust me, I get to the South alot, this dish rocked! On a 1-10, I give it an 11.
All the team there, Jan, Emily, Melissa and especially Mercedes are consumate professionals...

Restaurant in casino. No atmosphere. Food average. Service ok. Waitress gave check without asking if I was through. I intended to order dessert. Will not be back.

Huge downgrade for 2024-2025. They completely changed their menu back in 2023 cutting corners wherever they can and raising the prices significantly. An absolute disgrace that they no longer serve the Cajun style rice with their menu but instead give you plain unflavored white rice. Menu is smaller prices are much higher $3-$5 from 2022 to present. Less quality and I've even noticed that some of the best servers have already quit or moved to other locations. I used to come here once a month but now unless I have a comp I don't come here at all big disappointment

Great, friendly service and great oysters. The restaurant is located in a busy casino section so there is considerable noise from that environment. A good place for appetizers before hitting Fremont!

Good portion for price but unfortunately food is lacking. Ordered garlic butter scampi, the lobster and clam. Both came out watery without any flavor aroma. Seafood protein didn't have any taste. Same goes for my ciopinno. The only dish that we ordered that was decent to eat was the blackened salmon.

Been to Big Al's Oyster Bar a few times before renovation and after. We always enjoy a good pan roast. This time around I ordered the pan roast with shrimp add sausage. The flavors were delicious and it had a lot of shrimp however, I wish the sausage were cut larger. Service was ok, nothing spectacular. I'd return again if I'm in the Orleans Hotel.
