Bowl of Fortune 成都巷子 is a late night food roster spot for authentic Szechuan style, Chinese food. The crab roe and corn dish is incredibly fragrant and delicious, and the spicy stir-fry is flavorful, crispy, and packed with ingredients. Other dishes like dry pot, beef stripe cold dish, pork belly soup, Maoxuewang, Sichuan pickled fish, stir-fried noodles, and shrimp with scrambled eggs are absolutely delicious. The food is fresh, well-seasoned, with just right amount of spices and just right portions. The dining area is clean and comfortable, not noisy. Service is friendly, attentive, and food comes out quickly. The flavors are authentic and bold, with just the right level of Sichuan spice and numbing peppercorn aroma. Every dish is full of depth, and the ingredients are high quality. A must-try for real Chengdu-style Chinese food.
