We had a lovely dinner at Canaletto and it was delicious. The service was great, the cocktail awesome and the service prompt and very friendly. I've been here before and this time tried a different pasta and it was outstanding. Love the piazza theme set, and the vibrant atmosphere.

Canaletto is a beautiful Italian restaurant right by the Venetian Canal! I had a great time with my friends and the ambience was super nice, making it feel like you're in Italy. Our server was very nice. However, I will say I was not a fan of the food. I was able to sample a few dishes since each of my friends ordered different dishes. Honestly, not impressed and have had better Italian food, especially considering the prices. With so many options in Vegas, I would try another option. Buon appetito!

Canaletto and I go back a long way.... a love affair of sorts. Back in my formative years, I would make the drive out to Las Vegas for bachelorette party after bachelorette party. As I would drive and most of my friends would fly from near and far, I often found myself the first to arrive. I absolutely love the main square in The Venetian and I would almost always start off a Vegas weekend with a cocktail at the bar in Canaletto while I waited for my friends to arrive. I recall many conversations with guests at the bar and opera singers who would appear from the upper balconies to entertain. Fast forward to the present... recently I dined at Canaletto upon my arrival with my husband on our weekend getaway. Just as I remembered, it was in the middle of the square, a popular place to dine. It was a great place to people watch. During out dinner, however, there were no opera singers, as I had remembered. When we arrived, we were instantly greeted and seated at the edge of the seating area... my preferred spot for people watching. Service was excellent. Our server told us about the specials, and checked in with us regularly for food and drinks. Our waters were refilled regularly. We each chose different salads. My husband had the insalata Cesarina (Ceasar salad) and I had the insalata Ravina (hearty avocado and grain salad). My husband chose the special of salmon ravioli and I chose the Pizza Cristina (mushroom and prosciutto with truffle oil). The food was delicious. My husband enjoyed a house specialty gin cocktail, and I enjoyed a wine from Tuscany. All in all, it was a lovely meal, in a place that brought back a lot of memories, and was a fun place to watch the tourists.

My girlfriend and I ended our wonderful "girls trip" at the Venetian Hotel with dinner at this restaurant. Food was excellent but our server, Doreen was very unpleasant and unprofessional. She never came back to offer drinks and we wanted bread and she suggested that it was extra and what we ordered it might be too much. Probably will never come back again.

The server makes the experience and ours was awful. Doreen was rushed and not attentive. At one point, after my meal, I noticed another server offering and grating parm for another diner. I was not even offered it. Nor was I a second drink. Food was okay but again the server can ruin the meal. If you get her, ask for another server.

Last night in Vegas and looking for some good eats at the Venetian. Our plan was to originally dine at a popular Italian restaurant in the Venetian but the wait time was an hour and a half. Sometimes fate has a way of swaying you towards choices that you may have overlooked. We tried out Caneletto Ristorante Veneto in the Venetian at the St Mark's Square. They have ample dining inside and outside (although still inside because it's simulated outdoor dining). Our server was super helpful and friendly. She described the special offerings for the night and I was immediately drawn to veal scallops with white wine and capers atop grilled polenta and sautéed spinach. My friends ordered pasta with ragu and salmon. We started with a shared Caesar Salad. We ended the meal with cheesecake, tiramisu and affogato. It was truly a great meal with proper proportions and the flavors were spot on. Will put down Canaletto as a Vegas favorite for this guy!

The most amazing dining experience. The service from the time of arrival to leaving was a 5-star experience. The host, server and managers were great. The food was amazing, bountiful and a good value. Quick service and interpretive service allowing me and my co-worker to catch-up but never went without having every need met. A great atmosphere on the patio inside the Venetian St. Mark's Square as well. Also want to say Jose the Manager was a hospitality professional who was warm, outgoing, provided attentive service and really made this a memorable evening. Cannot recommend it enough!

We are just married and decided to celebrate our occasion at Canaletto. Very very very disappointed. Such service level as a fast food point. The waiter came only 3 times. No attention to the guests. 1 of 5 !!!.

We had reservations for 8:15 on a Saturday night. We arrived a bit early and were seated promptly. I ordered the Tiki Taormina cocktail and I loved it. We ordered Bruschette Assortite for our appetizer - the one with cheese and pistachios was delicious, the one with tomatoes was average, and we did not like the caviale di melanzane (and barely ate it). I ordered the Colorado lamb chops for my entree - it was one of the specials of the night. It was supposed to come with Spinach and potatoes. I requested that I substitute those for just pasta (even plain noodles) but was told they don't substitute. I ended up getting potatoes and polenta with it. The lamb chops were cooked as ordered (medium rare), tender and they were really good with the vinegar reduction. My boyfriend ordered the gnocchi bolognese which he said was bland - I tasted it and can confirm it was bland. We were stuffed and skipped dessert. Our server, James was nice, friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. Ambiance - tables are spread out which allows for some privacy. Inside seating is the way to go if you want to have a quiet dinner. Located in the Grand Canal Shoppes of The Venetian. A bit pricey for an Italian restaurant but probably due to its location.

A restaurant that you cannot go wrong with any dish you will order and the place is different from the general restaurant in the resorts (relaxed ambience and excellent service)Pasta made fresh, the pizza was just perfect and dessert dishes were simply delicious10/10 for everything

Not the friendliest hostess and waitress. Obviously experienced and felt like they didn't genuinely care. Told our waitress the noodles were a little under cooked and chewy ( not Al dente, just needed 1-2 more min) and she said she would let the kitchen know. Didn't offer to replace or any empathy. We are not looking for free food, but empathy would be nice. Over priced for what you get and service made me feel a little meh.

Amazing presentation and the food was just as delicious! My carbonara was amazing felt like I was in Italy with the flavors. The service was amazing they are respectful and friendly when attending the guest. The ambiance was great, loved that it was a talkative place but yet also luxurious.
