Very intimate venue. Small menu. Nothing fancy. Food is good. A bit pricey. Meat platter is not listed on menu but you can ask for it and it’s $35.

This is a very cool looking place, it is quite small so it creates an intimate dining experience. However if you are actually hungry for food, do not come here.If you just want to have some bar snacks / tapas and drink then this is it. It would cost and arm and a leg to actually get full here and the plates can only be shared between maybe 3 people?Creative menu but what I found more delicious were items that did not require any cooking (tomato, Iberico). The mussels were not bad, not outstanding either. Their “Iberico” katsu was quite delicious as well. But nothing too crazy tbh.The decor felt all over the place it was unique and also quite gaudy. What was possibly most memorable was the $5 charge for a few slices of bread.I came to visit from Los Angeles and this had the vibe, sorta but the food was not it. It was OK and part of that is due to its price. My wallet left empty and I left even hungrier.Left to get fried chicken shortly after.Perfect for date night or a corporate dinner where you don’t have to foot the bill. Not good if you are hungry.Would I come back again? It would not be my first option but if I find myself back I’ll just eat dinner before I go. ?

This spot is really cool, I remember when it was raku sweets and really liking the bar set up. This new design only made the bar set up better with a beautiful wood slab with accent features built in. Our server recommended perfect wine to pair with my girlfriend’s entree and the Spanish beer they have on tap is solid. Great spot to start a fun night out, will come back

I was such a big fan of Sweets Raku, so I was excited to hear that they would be opening up a new concept in its place. This is hands down my new favorite hangout. The menu is reasonably priced for what you get and I DREAM about the Katsku. The servers are always friendly every time I go in there. They constantly have great recommendations on food or drinks to get and never steer me wrong. I will definitely be bringing my co-workers in for a quick bite and drinks after work!

I recently checked out Casa de Raku with a group of friends, and we were all very impressed with the experience. As regulars at Sweets Raku, we were interested to see what the new concept would be. The space has undergone a complete renovation and has been transformed into a traditional-looking Spanish tapas bar. The ambiance is great and makes for a fun spot to grab a couple of drinks and small bites with friends or even an intimate date night spot. The drink menu was definitely a highlight. We sipped on Tinto Verano cocktails, a Spanish drink I have yet to see in Las Vegas, as well as a few different wines. The glassware was beautiful, and who doesn't love a sophisticated wine glass. As far as food goes, the Imberico Katsu was a favorite across the board. It's a unique spin on a traditional Spanish dish, and I can't recommend it enough. Additional standouts were the croquetas and Basque-style cheesecake. Will definitely be going back for more soon!

In limbo since Sweets Raku closed in June a new concept called Casa de Raku took its place early November, a focus on “European style” Tapas seemingly out of place for the icon of Japanese charcoal-grilled Meats though the experience early on shows signs of promise.Located at 5040 Spring Mountain Road, a counter plus tables to the back creating an intimate experience despite fairly basic décor, it is on the heels of Chef Mitsuo Endo’s travels abroad that Casa de Raku’s menu focuses on cured Meats including exclusive Bone in Jamon Iberico for $30 an ounce.Well-price across the Wine List, a Spanish White well-matched to most of a curated plates, Devils on Horseback prove competent while boiled Sausages with Mustard and oily “Patatas Bravas” without their signature Sauce are both forgettable, at best.Open 6pm to 2am for walk-ins, the staff friendly but still green, Pan Con Tomate at $5 a slice is laughable with EDO just down the way while Ham Croquettas and fried Iberico Katsu are both beautifully executed.Impressing with an Artichoke, simple yet flawless for $6, seared Foie Gras hits the mark next to the same Berry Jam as Burnt Cheesecake brightened by Shaved Cheese while “Churros” made from baked Choux may leave purists craving the real thing.
