Darla’s Southern Cajun Bistro

A completely disappointing experience from start to finish. The bad service began the moment we walked in we weren't even greeted when we arrived. Things only went downhill from there, as we waited over an hour just to get our food.
When the food finally arrived, it was a massive letdown. For a place that brands itself on Southern comfort, the kitchen completely missed the mark. The chicken was entirely unseasoned and tasteless, and the mac and cheese was terrible and clearly not homemade. There was absolutely no hospitality or quality here. Between being ignored at the door, the agonizingly long wait, and the poor food quality, I definitely won't be back.

Me and spouse wanted to order out but they stated that they wasn't doing online or carry-out at that time. So we decided to get a seat. A half hour later a family came in sat down and then decided to order out and they allowed them to place their order. Outside of that, the food was good. Prices was manageable and staff was friendly. I would go back.

Asked for eggs over medium and got boiled eggs. Toast was very dry and bacon overcooked.

This place is Not Very Customer friendly if I must say so myself! Came from out of town and just trying to be seated was an issue! They weren't taking To Go orders and even though I had friends inside dining they almost wouldn't allow them to order any food for me either! I'm definitely not in a rush to come visit this place again

I moved across the US and was looking for soul food for some time and it was absolutely delicious!!! Our server Regina was a sweetheart. Worth the 2 hour drive 🩷 10/10

Overall good experience. Food cooked fresh to order so it does take a little time but thats to be expected. They have Kool aide yummy! The server could have been a little more attentive to his tables, but over all I give a 9nout 10

When I tell you this place is the spot!!!! Food was so delicious , it wasn’t that busy and it was Father’s Day weekend. Thanks so much to the team that works here. You made my experience really good, I left and was super full. Black excellence

You can tell it's historic, it looks old and run down the. Food was a 5 out of 10. Grits hard, shrimp seasoned good.

6/25/2026 at 1:37pm TODAY I HAD THEIR smothered PORK chops their Mac and cheese and their yams with white rice with gravy oh yeah cornbread when I first opened the lid to the macaroni and cheese it smelled like it was old and I’m like maybe I’m tripping so I ate some and it was nasty it tasted like it had onions in it or they used way too much cajun seasoning the yams had no flavor and wasn’t good at all the smothered pork’ chops wasn’t tender enough the gravy was ok oh and that cornbread tasted like some uncooked cake now I have a distasteful taste in my mouth. I feel like I wasted my $30 and I will never eat there again. NOPE Wasn’t worth $30. SMH IM SO MAD BECAUSE I BEEN CRAVING SOME GOOD SOUL FOOD FOR TWO DAYS NOW IM VERY DISAPPOINTED

Darla's is hands down the best soul food in Las Vegas. The fried catfish is perfectly crispy and never greasy, the shrimp and grits are absolutely unreal, and the cornbread is moist, fluffy, and just the right amount of sweet. Friendly staff, clean spot, reasonable prices.

I’ve tried this place 3 times and was told they couldn’t do a to go order, but it’s advertised! WON’T BE BACK!!🤨
