HONG LOU Reviews
My mom really likes the black bean noodles here (gahn jjajahng)- the one with the made to order sauce that’s stir fried, not the regular.
Their sweet and sour pork is standard fare to order with black bean noodles. It’s easier to park at Greenland market, and these are definitely better than Paik’s noodles. Jjampong Zizon is also good but I’m not a fan of the rice flour sweet and sour pork. For $13+, the noodles are a good deal nowadays. It’s a...read full review

Got the tofu and eggplant dish and it was so good. Came with rice, kimchi, and pickled radish too. The best option for vegetarians in the little food court.
Chef needs a raise cause this is thee BEST jajangmyeon and jjampong I have EVER had. He uses a wok and really has that special “wokhei”. The broth is seafood forward with a rich and layered complexity. So many flavors in that jjampong.I swear would just drink that broth by itself. Everything is made fresh and to order. Wish they had Hong Lou in Chicago cause I would go there every week. Vegas natives, consider yourself lucky!!

HONG LOU is a Korean-styled Chinese restaurant that has gained a reputation for its delectable dishes. The restaurant offers a generous portion of seafood items, including two large shrimp, squid, wood ear mushrooms, green mussels, green onions, and bok choy, all seasoned perfectly without being overly salty. Customers who have experienced Korean-Chinese cuisine praise HONG LOU as one of the best they've visited, not only in the local area but also across different states in the U.S., including Korea.
The restaurant's Jajangmyeon (Noodle with Black Bean Sauce) and Fried Dumplings are particularly popular among regular customers, who often visit the Korea Town food court and choose HONG LOU over other options. The Jajangmyeon is praised for its great flavor and perfectly cooked noodles, though some customers wish the sauce base was a bit thicker. The restaurant also offers other Chinese-inspired dishes, such as Hot Pepper Fried Chicken and Orange Chicken, which customers find to be executed better than at many other Chinese restaurants.
HONG LOU is located at Korea Town Plaza Food Court, where customers can enjoy a nice selection of noodles, entrees, fried rice, and chow mein. The owner, Han, is known for being very kind, welcoming, and friendly, providing a pleasant dining experience. While the restaurant may not have the most impressive appearance, the food they serve is full of surprises, with the stir-fried Jjajangmyun and Sweet and Sour Pork combo being a popular recommendation.
