“Awesome place. I got the $30 nigiri chef’s choice and is was a great experience (pic shows 11 pieces, but includes 18). The Chef even spoiled me with some Otoro and Uni. Seems like a really nice guy, and the server was great too, and most importantly, the fish was quality. Highly recommend, I’ll be back“

“Tasty option for quality Japanese fare, just over the highway from the strip in Chinatown.
Jammed in the conference crowd at Venetian, but wanted to find some good Japanese. Decided to take the short (10 min) uber over to Chinatown and found this little spot.
Started with the Tuna Tartare. It was a soy/sesame tinged take on traditional tartare and it was delicious. We also had a basic salmon roll which done well with good, light soy and fresh wasabi.
For dinner, we had the Tori katsu (chicken) served with rice, a cabbage-based salad and a selection-of pickles. Wonderful.
Service was pleasant and attentive.
Price was not cheap, but relative to the strip, an absolute bargain for the quality.

“My experience at Izakaya Tora was a culinary journey that transported my taste buds to the heart of Japan. The menu's artful fusion of traditional izakaya dishes and modern twists left me intrigued and delighted. The sashimi was impeccably fresh, each slice melting in the mouth with an oceanic sweetness. The robata-grilled skewers offered a symphony of smoky tenderness, with gentle and bold seasonings.
The service was attentive and the staff's knowledge of the menu and willingness to offer recommendations were a welcomed touch. While the ambiance captured the cozy izakaya vibe, a touch more authenticity in decor would enhance the overall experience. Despite these minor quibbles, the restaurant's dedication to capturing the essence of Japanese izakayas deserves praise. In a city teeming with dining options, this new establishment has carved a promising niche worth savoring. I look forward to my next visit!“
