Restaurant vibe feel very much like in Japan. Fish quality is fresh and the price is fair. Staff are nice. Would recommend!
Really enjoyed our meal here — the chef & staff clearly put a lot of care into everything. The food had that homestyle warmth you’d find in Japan, made with real skill. Grateful this place exists in our neighborhood. Arigatou gozaimasu 🙏
This is by far my favorite Izakaya joint in Las Vegas. The food is always delicious, the service is spectacular and Chef Nakamura is always friendly and ready to talk story with.
Only drawback is that they are so good, it’s hard to get a table without a reservation, so make sure you call ahead.

Takumi Izakaya is a small, cozy restaurant known for its amazing food and friendly staff. It offers an intimate experience with one sushi chef and one waiter, ensuring top-notch service. The fish and sushi rice are of very high quality, a significant improvement over AYCE sushi. The broiled mackerel is done to perfection, although deboning would make it easier to eat. The salmon melts in the mouth, and the flavor is outstanding. The eel rolls, baked mussels, and nigiri are delicious, with the Negi toro being a standout dish. Reservations are recommended due to the limited seating. The restaurant has a welcoming ambiance, adorned with old Japanese posters. While the skewers offered are tasty, customers cannot choose the type, which can be disappointing. The sushi chef is talented, and the overall dining experience is worth returning for, especially for those in the Southwest Vegas area looking for sushi beyond Spring Valley and Chinatown.
