My birthday celebration was a resounding joy and success! Grateful to my husband for taking me to Joel’s Chophouse at the Ahern Hotel! We love fine steakhouses and indulge ourselves a few times a year. Joel’s will certainly get more visits! The food was spectacular, the staff super friendly and attentive, the vibe great, and the other guests were nice too. That Tomahawk steak was epic! The side dishes and desserts, along with the wines we tasted made the night so very special! While I like other steakhouses on the strip, truth is, it’s easier, more pleasant and more inviting at Joel’s Chophouse. Prices are what you would expect at a fine steakhouse, but we saw that they have many specials on selected evenings. We got on their mailing list! Like Arnold said: “I’ll be back!”
Parking: Parking is FREE, unlike other strip steakhouses… since Ahern Hotel is small, walk to the restaurant is a short distance. Safe and secure parking lot with cameras everywhere

What a great evening and dining experience at Joel’s Chiphouse at the Ahern Hotel on west Sahara Avenue! We were greeted warmly and attended to very nicely and attentively. Had the most spectacular Australian Wagyu Tomahawk and other beef entrees! Top notch! We started with delicious small plates, including crabcakes and octopus. The beets and Spanish Caesar salads were very tasty! Mashed and roasted potatoes dishes, asparagus, and Mexican shrimp rounded out the main event. All magnificent! The wines we chose by the glass were just right in every sense! Truly epic were our desserts, from apple and pear tart to baked Alaska, cheesecake (not on menu, but we figured they’d have it!), and, a chocolate cake that is sinfully good! We were there for 3.5 hours! We didn’t want to leave! Highly recommend! Also, roomy and spacious restaurant, not like so many on the strip where you’re surrounded and up close to other guests.
This is a gem… when you want a grownup dinner, go here! Make reservations!
Parking: Free parking, unlike at strip properties, and since hotel is small, it’s always a short walk to any of the restaurants or venues at the Ahern Hotel.

Went to a Motown Brunch and the food was cold and very limited. Eggs that cold make me worried about food poisoning. The staff was rude when it was brought to their attention.
However the singer and his back up was very interactive and really included the crowd. The sound wasn’t mixed the best but improved over the course of the show.

Went to the motown brunch on Sunday 17 Nov 2024, and my party of 6 was severely disappointed. The food was extremely limited (cous-cous, crystalized egg omlettes, tater tots, biscuits, gravy, bacon, moscholli, bone-in over baked chicken cut in 1/8 portions, waffles, mixed fruit) and cold, only coffee and water to drink, items ran out (omlettes, coffee, water), the show started an hour late, and the service was rude and unprofessional. After the service was completed, the pastries were brought out.

Our first visit was this past friday as locals. The manager Karina delivered excellent customer service! We sat at the bar and enjoyed 2 apps and a couple of cocktails . Both items were delicious and we received great service from Alan. This restaurant offers many daily specials; we will be back! Additionally parking is complimentary and easy!

I hate to do this, but I have to leave 1 star. The service was sub-par, I think it was his first night and he had no clue what he was doing. We all ordered the most expensive steak cooked medium. Three of the four steaks were raw. Literally raw. The chef offered a free dessert! Are you kidding me? I will never step in this restaurant again

I love visiting Joel's chophouse for my bday even tho I'm not from here originally from tx the food was amazing all tho I didn't get my steak tableside even tho I had ask for it but I got the dessert table side which I enjoyed great service
Normally I don't post reviews unless it was an exceptional or extremely poor experience. Unfortunately my experience was the latter. Showed up right at opening to eat. Staff very attentive. Ordered the Kobe Tomahawk Steak, which I as really looking forward to. Chose several sides (mashed potatoes, ravioli and shishito peppers) which were all quite good. The steak unfortunately was not. Ordered it medium rare. The center part of the steak approached medium rare but the rest was more towards medium well to well done. The steak did not have much flavor and worse was tough, which is surprising given the cut should be extremely soft and flavorful given its a Kobe steak on the menu for 250 (100 off on Tuesdays). Ate at several of the hotel and convention centers other restaurants and all were outstanding. Sorry to say but Joel's Chophouse has alot of room for improvement.
Tomahawk Tuesday is a must! Delicious and $100 off normal pricing. The smoked old fashions are a fan favorite. Whiskey selection is deep. We sat at the bar and had dinner, talked with Chef, watched the debate and had a grand time.
I went for tomahawk Tuesday the value was fine The service was great. The food was delicious. Ambience was fantastic. The only problem was when I went to the bar just outside the restaurant. I ordered an old-fashioned the two gentlemen which look like a trainer and a trainee made me one and then gave me a bill for $12 and I asked him is the normal price $20.? Because it was supposed to be 50 percent off it would have been $10 for some reason he charged me a liquor without my knowledge and proceeded to charge me the extra two dollars, even though I brought it up to him, I did not appreciate this
