Authenticity is where it's at here. I felt like mama and the aunties were cookin in the back for me! I've had a lot of Lao and Thai food, and find that I rarely like it as much as my own cooking. This place is legit and does not Americanize their dishes. And it is truly Lao, not erring on the side of Thai like most restaurants. Food is FRESH, full of FLAVOR. Do yourself a favor and stop in for some amazing food and eats.

Not bad, but not good. Big portion. Authentic food. Good experience to try the new food

This place was amazing with great customer service! The kapoon was satisfying. It has a rich coconut taste just like how I like it. The mok pa salmon with sticky rice was a 10/10. Morning glory with pork belly was delicious. My new go to place!

Consistently inconsistent. While we're regulars at Lao Kitchen, recent visits with a large group showcased a mixed bag of culinary experiences. Nam khao lacked its usual crispiness, and the tiger steak, though seasoned well, proved challenging to chew. The fried pork belly was disappointingly dry, while the fried intestines, though flavorful, carried a hint of gaminess, suggesting inadequate cleaning. Our venture into non-Lao dishes, like Pad Thai and chicken wings, ended in over-seasoning and dryness. The fried fish, while crispy and meaty, left no lasting impression. Amidst these hits and misses, the Koh piak sen remains a beacon of hope, despite its varying quality. Despite the inconsistencies, we'll return, crossing our fingers for a good day and another chance to savor the Koh piak sen.

Very nice! I went here for dunch (dinner and lunch), and the food was absolutely scrumptious!! The service was nice, not as good as the food, though! I never tried Lao food before, and this was an excellent first impression!! 10/10 would definitely go here again! Time to recommend this to all my friends! :)

First time. Location is west of the strip. At least 20 min drive. Food is exactly like what I expected. Real traditional Lao food. But I was disappointed in the porc meat. It was more like bacon. I just wanted to see how authentic it was but at this price I could have paid for a buffet at the Palms. It was $74.62 for 4 dish plus sticky rice and ate for two.

Wow, the Kao piak sen with crispy pork changed my life!!! The broth was so perfectly balanced, you didn't need to put anything in it. The noodles were chewy and bouncy, and the crispy roast pork had nice layers of fat in it. The pork loaf was so good too! The only thing that was a little bit lacking were the meatballs. They just tasted like grocery store meatballs. My husband had the salmon, and thought it was too mushy and barely had any fish. There were also bones in it. It was good, but he wouldn't pick it next time. He also got the papaya salad, and he felt it was well balanced and authentic. Food here is Lao hot, which is worst than Thai hot, so don't get it spicy unless you can handle it!

I was at Lao kitchen 12/26/2023, ordered just 3 dishes, I really wasn't hungry but I needed to try since I don't come to Vegas that much.1)far from strip/main area of Vegas2)unique dining set up, nothing fancy at all.3)food took a while to come out.4)slow services due to ONLY one person who wore crocks serving us, not very polite, just straight forward and not friendly.5)overall great quality food, yet most of all, expensive forbade small portions of beef jerky and sausages. Even the papaya salad laobstyle was good but not enough for two people to relish.

Lao kitchen is the real deal!! I'm Thai and it's honestly hard to find super authentic Thai spots. Lao kitchen is Lao, not Thai, but it reminded me of authentic Thai food I would have at my family's house. They actually know what spicy is. You can choose spice level and versus those other Thai spots that give you 1-10, 10 is never spicy. But THIS SPOT OMG. I felt my soul burning . I got the raw shrimp papaya salad and literally tasted like this same exact one I had in Thailand. It burned like lava and I was so happy and crying at the same time. Also got Lao sausage and it was fire!! Can't wait to go back and try more.

This is the second time we've been here from Texas. You can't get more authentic Lao food unless your friend's grandmother makes it. I'm Vietnamese and my husband is Lao, so unfortunately I cannot cook for him. But this place makes literally every dish that he ever craves. Friendly service and amazing flavors. Wish we had a place like this back home. Definitely one of our favorite places to visit from now on when we come to Vegas.
