Gone but not forgotten. I just left a few minutes ago and it will be 60 years of history in about 20 minutes. My first and my last time there. Figured I should make it to the oldest Mexican restaurant in Vegas before it goes the way of yesteryear. I over ordered on purpose since there was no tomorrow and took a lot home. Food and service was good. Four stars only because I can't go back in order to try other items.

Been coming here since we moved to Vegas 3 years ago! Been a favorite since and ALWAYS recommend to family and friends!

This place is moving to a new location but it'll still be in Las Vegas. They'll be called Blue Macaw in the move on flamingo and 215! It's a rare gem of a Mexican restaurant and I'm always satisfied when I leave. I love their street tacos as they use the sweetest part of the meat. Even before they're open, there's a line from the door so you know it's good!

Love this place! Same great servers; please switch back to Coca Cola when you open up the Blue Macaw!

In a city that is intent on destroying every last vestige of its past, Macayo's has remained a constant for over 50 years. Walking through the front door is like going through a time portal. The place opened when metropolitan Las Vegas had less than 200,000 residents, now it has over 10 times that many. Generations of Las Vegans have come here as children, then brought their own children, and then grandchildren. The surrounding neighborhood, once the best in town, has gone to seed, but that hardly matters. The food might be best described as "Mexican Comfort Food," not spectacular but completely satisfying. Ownership says it is about to finally close, but they are evasive and I suspect someone might find a way to pull the rabbit out of the hat and save this beloved part of old Las Vegas.

Server awesome. Food plentiful. Dated interior. Tried to seat us in left side. But the carpet was filthy and the whole place stank because of the carpet. Right side better. Owner was very sweet and gave great advice.

Macayo's has been our go to place for Mexican food for decades. The family has assembled a wonderful array of recipes and a dynamic staff. Unfortunately the founders' daughter has decided to sell out the name and close the restaurants. We will miss them all.

The price was right. The service was fast. And the food was pretty good. It is unfortunate they will be closing down. But thank you God for the time they were here.

OMG! The best I've had in a long time. I will miss them when they do close. Had a margarita and it had a bit too much of the margarita mix, made it taste a bit sour. The food was amazing, good size portions. A little bit pricey for Mexican food but Would definitely go again.

My all-time favorite restaurant in the world. Probably... Because it has so many childhood memories for me. TCTs are the best. And the smooth sauce is unsurpassed. That's about all I need here.

This is my ALL time FAVORITE restaurant. I have been coming to this location my entire life and my family before that (over 50 years of patronage.) We try to come at least once a month, but last month managed to go 6 times! The food is amazing, the chips and salsa are the BEST, the staff are so friendly, and it's FAST!!!!!! Highly recommended!!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!

Since I've been in Vegas I have not had any good authentic Mexican food until now. Macayo was like being at home, and don't forget the tasty margaritas . I loved it
