It was first time to visit this restaurant. I prefer their traditional style sushi, crab and udon noodle. And my family loves owner of restaurant. I would like to come back soon😊
I believe this is the last standing Makino AYCE restaurant in the west coast... This place used to be packed, only a few years back... I guess AYCE JAPANESE RESTAURANTS have lost a step or two within the last couple of years... Nevertheless, lunch on a Friday at 1pm, it was very slow... but the service was excellent! Food is still the same, nothing out of the ordinary. Hope they dont go under anytime soon.
4.5 stars considering the good value and decent taste.
Recommendation: Crab legs, LA Kalbi, and tempura shrimp, and rolls in general. They also have pretty good icecream for buffet (green tea, vanilla, mango, strawberry) but you have to ask them to scoop.
While they have a lot of different sushi rolls and nigiri, the overall variety leaves a bit to be desired. But the quality is pretty good so you there will be something for you. I was fine...
