Great food, great service. The price is well worth the meal, it's half the price of other upscale places but twice as good. Will definitely be back for the pita and prawns appetizers alone. Our server was extremely helpful for navigating the menu, and made a fantastic recommendation.
Tina was awesome. Great recommendations. Food was amazing and perfectly cooked. Flavors were perfect.
... a used to be favorite restaurant where the food is consistently very good, but I got "one of those nights" when you feel while dining that you wonder who's paying attention with both the service and the food. ... for an upscale restaurant .... my most disappointing moment of this experience is that I'm still tasting the olive oil that the "whole dover sole" was "drenched" in ... enough said ... .
My boyfriend works on the Strip and worked thru the holidays. This was our first opportunity to spend quality time together and relax. Our staycation included a few meals and three days at Red Rock. We made a reservation however, we really didn't need one, the place was pretty slow when we arrived. We had a booth in the back which was very nice. Our waiter was a little untrained, he began speaking to me while my boyfriend was on his phone (work). He failed to review any specials and was not easy to understand. He wasn't attentive and the restaurant was slow. We had already decided on dinner but drinks and an appetizer hadn't been decided. We chose a wonderful cheese appetizer that was cooked and had lemon over the top. And this tradition grilled Greek dinner to share. Plenty for both of us and we had to have a to go box. Everything was delicious. However since the experience (service) wasn't so great, we skipped drinks and dessert.

The fish, salad & hamachi were swimming in dressing/oil and over-lemoned. The gem salad was actually a mixed green salad with plenty of halved olives and feta. The ambiance was really nice and I think normally the noise level would've been much lower except for the table of 5 men two tables down that were so loud, we could t hear each other speak while sitting next to each other.
The fish is excellent as for those potatoes , let's just say we came back for the fish AND THE POTATOES
Naxos Taverna & Grill is exceptional—plain and simple. The food is top-tier Greek cuisine done the right way: fresh ingredients, bold flavors, and dishes that clearly respect tradition rather than cutting corners. Every bite tastes intentional. The service is professional, warm, and efficient, and the atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between lively and comfortable. This is not a trendy flash-in-the-pan spot—it’s a restaurant that takes pride in consistency, quality, and doing things properly. If you value real food, generous portions, and a place that earns your business instead of begging for it, Naxos is a must. One of the best dining experiences in Las Vegas.

Food was amazing! I recommend the pitta for starter and the chicken was delicious. Much like the carrots they have Tina our waitress was as sweet as they come!

The issues here are mostly with the disappointing food. The best dish is the Hot Pita bread. The issue I have with that is the item that costs pennies is the only thing worth while. We ordered the Dip which comes with only one of these Pitas. The amount of dip you get it is safe to say you need at least 3 Pitas. Which cost $4 for each. There is a smell in Red Rock casino that is a mix of stale cigarettes and cheap car air freshener. The reason why I bring that up is the roasted oysters have a similar aftertaste to that smell. Not good. The Saganaki is tasty but without the typical flaming table side it is just a pan of melty cheese. The poached prawns were a total of 4 shrimp maybe 20 per pound size. They were mealy from being over cooked. Also one still had part of the shell on which shows sloppiness. The cocktail sauce was the only good part of this dish. We split the whole grilled red snapper. It comes with a lemon caper sauce. The fish is presented at table after it is grilled. Then taken back to the kitchen to be filleted and deboned and sauced. It disappeared for about 15 minutes. It was well grilled but had very little flavor. Usually Mediterranean prepared grilled fish is stuffed with aromantics and herbs to perfume the fish for flavor. The lemon and caper sauce fell flat and needed salt. Service was acceptable but felt like we were being up sold rather than navigated through the dining experience. We did find a significant bone in the fish. Given this this the main focus of the menu not acceptable. The space is nice but if it was busy noise level maybe an issue for an intimate dinner
Review: Deeply Disappointing and Far From Greek Cuisine
I rarely write negative reviews, but my experience here was so astonishingly bad that I feel compelled to speak up in the hope that something changes.
This restaurant markets itself as Greek, but nothing we were served even vaguely resembled authentic Greek cuisine. We started with the spanakopita, which arrived filled with raw onions—something we’re still trying to recover from—and wrapped in what tasted like a buttery croissant instead of traditional phyllo. The result was heavy, unpleasant, and completely off-base.
Next came the tuna crudo. Unfortunately, the tuna was impossible to taste because it was buried under an overwhelming, unpleasant sauce. At this point we were disappointed, but things only got worse.
The final dish, the salt-crusted fish, was where we drew the line. The fish was presented to us whole and cooked—a promising start—but then 15 minutes passed before it was actually served. By the time it reached the table, the head of the fish had mysteriously vanished, and the fillets were drenched in cheap olive oil, stripping away any remaining integrity of the dish. That was the last straw, and we walked out.
I’m writing this review not out of malice but out of genuine frustration. What we experienced is a disgrace to Greek cuisine and feels like false advertising to anyone expecting authentic flavors or even basic quality. I sincerely hope the restaurant reconsiders its approach, because what they’re serving now is simply unacceptable.

Kostas the server was outstanding... It set the mood for a bunch of tasty dishes to come... But the surprise of the night was a 5 year old Greek brandy... Super tasty for a night cap.

Naxos Taverna has Great food & great Servers! Salted sea bass is a must as well as Himachi and pita bread with sides.
I love Naxos. I live in Summerlin and Naxos is my go-to restaurant for heart healthy, low cholesterol, fresh, delicious food. Their Greek salad is excellent, and all of their dips are made with olive oil, not inexpensive seed oils. The fresh grilled whole fish is for sharing and is amazing and served so simply with olive oil and lemon so the fish shines. It is pricey because they use such high quality ingredients so I never mind paying the price to eat so clean and well.
