New York Chinese Restaurant Reviews
Though it does look nice, this is not what East Coast or New York style Chinese food looks like at all on the East Coast shrimp and lobster sauce is a very dark brown color. There is no peas in it. The fried rice is also a very dark brown and beef and broccoli pepper steak is not a stirfry. It comes very dark with a lot of gravy. The food is excellent, serving sizes are very generous, and service is fast and friendly. The location I went to is very small inside, and seems very much geared towards carry out. Absolutely everything we needed was included in the bag, and there was enough leftover for another full meal. Overall, we loved it!

New York Chinese Restaurant offers authentic and delicious Cantonese-American cuisine in a modest setting. Their signature dish, the honey walnut shrimp, is a standout with its crispy texture and tasty sauce. The crab Rangoon is another customer favorite. The lunch special, featuring shrimp egg foo young, pork fried rice, wonton soup, crab Rangoon, and a fortune cookie, provides great value. The egg rolls, reminiscent of childhood memories, are a highlight. Customers praise the consistent quality and dependability of the food, which has been prepared by the same family for over a decade. While the atmosphere may be unassuming, the food remains the focus, making New York Chinese Restaurant a must-try for those seeking genuine Chinese cuisine.
