Good asada tacos

I absolutely LOVE panchos!! I have been coming here for over 5 years and its always great, EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.

The asada fries, the tortas, nachos, burgers, there are so many options to choose from and NONE of them will disappoint.

Family-owned business and friendly. This place needs some attention as the a/c was getting fixed while I ate my lunch on a 115° day. The food, however, was very tasty and filling. Worth a visit or for takeout. Updated from previous review on 2024-07-09

We went kinda late so we were the only ones. But don’t be fooled: the food is amazing! Perfect local in the hole in the wall spot for locals!

The decor looks nothing like the photos. The food definitely looks like the photos but the taste and texture seem off. The carnitas was oddly sweet. The rice was mushy as if it were made with sticky rice. The most expensive item on the menu is the Mexican meatballs and they had a consistency like wheat germ mixed with ground beef.

Throughout the dinner, there was a high-pitched noise that kept emanating from the kitchen. It sounded a bit like a pressure pot releasing steam. We were there for an hour and 20 minutes and we heard that sound on and off for probably about an hour of the time we were there.

The server was flights and seemed to try her best for being the only one there. It certainly did seem like she was doing everything. My kids even began to wonder if she was running the kitchen as well.

To start no hate to any of the employees the customer service was fantastic. It seemed that there was only one lady working this night and she was managing making the food, busing the tables, keeping up the cleanliness of the entire restaurant, sales, online orders, and anything and everything related to customers. She was incredibly friendly and we felt very welcome while we were there. The only issue with that was she was, and it seemed that she was the only worker there. The restaurant was very clean, but the music was quite strange considering the atmosphere, it’s a vegan Mexican place and while we were there, we heard reggae, death metal, and sort of sad love songs there was also this incredibly high-pitched noise that kept going on and off throughout our stay. There are also hardly any customers there aside from us and one other lady, so it doesn’t seem too popular these days. I ordered the street taco combo. The beans and rice were OK although a little soggy but the meat in the tacos was sweet. The rest of my family members had little to no issues with their food other than not liking the rice because of how soggy it was. While we did expect a much nicer environment, based on the reviews or expectations were almost immediately dropped compared to some of these reviews, this place has definitely gone downhill, but nonetheless wasn’t the worst. The food was fairly expensive but for being vegan that’s all right. My main issue was the meat was sweet and I had the Carne Asada meat. I’ve had other Carne Asada alternatives in the past and none of them were as sweet as this one. It tasted like someone coated it in sugar.

Used to go to ponchos all the time at their other location. Could barely find this new location.
Waited 10 minute for someone to even try to seat us. Had two men just watching football/soccer game in the back where everyone can see.. people who were seated even got up and left
Vibe was off. Disappointed this used to be me and my fams favorite place

The response provided by the owner was sad.
People left your restaurant right infront of our eyes because they were not being served in a timely manner. The restaurant was horribly lit. Even if most vegan eateries have done mostly delievery or pick up there are ton who still manage to keep a clean and presentable dinning area. Or at least well lit!

It’s fine to have people watching soccer it was the fact that it was dark with only one little light in the corner! It’s creepy and not what I expected from yall and I’ve dined with you all plenty of times at your other location

The menu listed so many of my favorite Mexican foods … enchiladas, pozole, tacos and tortas … that it took me awhile to decide on a chicken sope with beans, rice and agua de jamaica. I think anyone, vegan or omni, would be really pleased with this dish. The refried beans were a bit salty, but I’m used to my mommy’s low- or no-salt Mexican cooking. The sope came with pico de gallo, green salsa and finely shredded cheese. The food was reasonably priced and the service was patient and friendly.

My one star rating is because I saw a kitchen staff member come out and strap a baby to her in a baby carrier and strap to to the front of her. This is dangerous for the baby!! I wish I would have taken a picture but she moved really fast into the kitchen.

Showed up today but was told they are out of business now?

Food was great! The customer service was awesome. Our waiter was so kind and enthusiastic it really made my day. I took a to-go box home and I'm about to enjoy my churro! :)
