Raku is THAT spot.
Crispy skewers, juicy grilled meats, and the most flavorful crab I’ve had in a while. Everything tasted fresh, smoky, and perfectly seasoned. Cozy izakaya energy and ideal for sharing plates. Already planning my next visit.

Great quality izakaya.
We found Raku while izakaya hopping in Vegas. Ready to get a little taste of Japan, we were pleasantly surprised by the house-made tofu option and well-balanced skewers and small plates. Although the beef liver was too gamey for my personal preferences, most of the dishes we ordered were quite delectable.
Just a tad bit of professionalism for some members of the service team could make the restaurant experience even more superb!

If you are looking for legit Japanese food, don’t come here! Everything tasted not even like authentic Japanese food (I’ve been traveling a lot to Japan and usually like goin to Japanese restaurants in other cities. This place is def a big no!
The uni tasted so bad! And everything we ordered was not worth the price at all!

I did some izakaya hopping after hearing that Vegas has a surprisingly fun food scene. I started at Raku and then moved on to Hachi, among others. I began with Sapporo draft beer, as Asahi was not available on draft despite being listed on the menu. I ordered a variety of skewers, tofu dishes, and seafood menus besides sashimi and nigiri. Overall, I was quite satisfied with both the presentation and the quality of the food, which I found enjoyable and well above average for my palate. I especially appreciated that the dishes were not over-seasoned, allowing the natural flavors to stand out.
However, the service felt overly casual and lacked the level of attentiveness and explanation I would expect at restaurants in this price range. That said, I would consider visiting again on a future trip to Vegas.

The food was good, but not amazing, especially for the price tag. We had over $150 bill for 2 adults and a child, and we all left the restaurant hungry. The raku tofu was great, everything else was forgettable. At one point we just stopped ordering because we weren’t amazed by the quality, only by the price tag, with tiny portion sizes and ok taste. It was not worth it. The first person that came to the table was amazing, but then we were kind of just sitting there and waiting for someone to come to the table. all in all, absolutely not worth it.

The food was solid and the service itself was fine. But, I was disappointed by the seating arrangement.
When making the reservation, there was no indication that different dining areas offered noticeably different experiences. Upon arrival, we were seated in a separate area that felt more like a patio-style or added-on space, with different furniture and ambience from the main dining room, which still appeared to have open tables.
What stood out to me was that all the parties seated in this separate share the same native language(non-English, non-Japanese). This may have been coincidental, but combined with the clear difference in atmosphere, it’s a wired pattern to me and affected how comfortable the overall experience felt.

DONT ORDER ANY SASHIMI. Had a reservation and was really excited to try the food. Most of the food was decent, but the sashimi salad was a letdown. The salmon was clearly frozen—ice cold, hard, and completely ruined the dish. When we raised the issue, the response was underwhelming; the only solution offered was to remake the salad without the salmon, which didn’t really address the problem. We ended up canceling it. Pretty disappointing, especially for a place known for Japanese food at this price point.

Tried the $150 tasting course and unfortunately the food was mediocre at best and definitely not worth the price. Best bites were the house made tofu, beef filet skewer and pork cheek skewer. I also quite enjoyed the braised eggplant. Service felt quite off. Very nice restroom though
Very low chance I’d want to come back, but if I do, it’d be a la carte only, and primarily for the skewers

We walked into the restaurant today and they said we need a reservation somehow. There were at least four unoccupied table when we walked in.
Maybe because I am Chinese? She recognizes my language as my girlfriend asked me to check out the restaurant next door, since there is another BBQ place and we wanted to make sure we walked into the right one.
probably my demeanor pissed off the waitress maybe? She immediately said oh we are not available until 11:30 and a reservation is needed.
That is total bullshit. Nowhere does anywhere says we need a reservation for this restaurant.
Finally, we had to go to another Japanese restaurant, and that one happened to actually need a reservation, but luckily, the waitress told us there was unavailable table, so we got ourselves a table!
This was definitely the worst experience I ever had . Raku is a terrible place will never be back.

The skewers here are very moist, really liked the liver, Wagyu, pork cheek skewers. However, the enoki and bacon is so tiny it feels like a scam.
The foie gras bowl is to die for
