This Cantonese dim sum restaurant is located inside a casino. The poached chicken is fantastic, but most of the other dishes are quite average — especially the wonton soup. The frozen wontons lacked chewiness and were disappointing. Overall, it’s not worth going out of your way, but if you’re staying in the casino and don’t want to venture out, it’s an option. Service was very good, which deserves a mention.
This restaurant is a bit more casual than the others that surrounded at The Wynn, as well as being more affordable. Service is ok but the food is quite good. I especially enjoyed the congee and orange chicken. Not bad, but expect a more ordinary experience compared to some of the spectacular nearby options such as Mizumi.
Red 8 was a rollercoaster.
The dim sum tasting? Delicious. The soft shell crab with salt & jalapeño pepper? Absolute star of a dish and our favorite. It was crispy and wonderfully garlicky.
Then came the Dan Dan noodles… and wow, talk about a buzzkill. Bland, flavorless, and just sad. My husband powered through after basically performing a chili oil makeover, but I couldn’t do it. I almost sent it back. My husband ate it probably...
