I’ve been a veggie for 22 years now, but for the most part, I unfortunately never lost my appetite for cheese and meat (especially red meat- I’m a yooper after all 🤷🏽‍♀️). Throughout all of that time I’ve tried what seems like thousands of faux meats and cheeses. The majority of red meat was fine, but I’ve simply given up on plant-based cheese and faux chicken. That said, I was SO excited when I saw Roll the Veg open- and I was pleasantly surprised at how delicious it was! I still can’t believe they can create vegan dishes out of classic ones that taste that good. The best part is that its a lot of traditional stuff- sliders, bbq chicken, etc.- Most restaurants don’t realize this, but many vegetarians and vegans still just want plain ol’ American comfort food they grew up on! I never leave reviews- but I really want them to stay put and be successful. Never would I have thought there would be a vegan place in the Sault 😂 You have to try it!

I was so happy to find a vegan place here and even happier to have met the owners. They were so friendly and let me sample all kinds of things I've never seen veganized. They had dishes that I never thought I'd eat again as a vegan and it was wonderful. :)

We stopped in over the July fourth weekend while visiting the Soo. The quality and taste of this all-vegan restaurant was outstanding. We tried the poke bowl, sushi roll, Korean bbq and the kids had the pretzel with cheese. I wish they had a restaurant near our home. And beyond the food, the folks that make it all happen are so kind. They are family owned and operated. #smallbusiness #veganpower

We were visiting the Soo Locks and were thrilled to find a vegan restaurant nearby so we could eat while waiting for a boat. Jamie was super friendly & helpful. We all ate the chicken(less) fried rice. It was great! If I were a local, I'd be a regular patron-for sure!

I can't possibly convey the awesomeness that is Roll the Veg. Anthony and Jamie (owners) went above and beyond, making recommendations and allowing our children to try dishes before we ordered. Our 7 year old is quite particular, and with Anthony's help, we were able to find a dish he loved! As vegans, traveling can be stressful and always requires careful planning. We were so relieved to find a vegan restaurant in the Soo, and blown away by how delicious everything was and even more so by hospitality. We could have been dining in the owners' home. We tried the Korean BBQ, Nachos, Scampi Alfredo, Sliders, and Crabless Roll. I'd order everything again and would love to try the rest! Whether you're vegan or not, Roll the Veg is guaranteed to deliver a satisfying meal.

So happy to find this low-key place with great food. Kind and friendly people who really care about their food and have expansive knowledge of vegan flavors. Many vegetables sourced from a local farm. Had the nachos, buffalo chicken wrap and crab less sushi. Owner gave us a taste of the adobo on the house. Excellent! Would go back!

look I'm a meat eater, and this place is good! The staff are very welcoming and friendly. Food is really good, I had the Korean BBQ, dish cold to take home and reheat later, very good.

We had lunch at Roll the Veg a few days back. Very good food, and something for everyone. My son had the chickenless nachos, I had the sliders and the korean beef w/rice. My wife and daughter had the adobo, and we also had the crabless rolls. They brought us a free sample of the tuna roll (made with watermelon), which was delicious! It's not just take-out. It's located in an interior atrium and there are tables nearby. It's deli-style, so everything is packaged to-go. I think a lot of their business is delivery. It's great to have a vegan option when visiting the UP! I was really surprised when it popped up on Happy Cow.
