Seems to be a local favorite, and after dining there, I can understand why. We were there for a late breakfast and it was full, with a line out the door. Food was fabulous comfort food, with huge portions. Affordable prices and great service. Would recommend!

On our trip to the U.P. Michigan I stopped for gas in S.S.Marie. I asked the guy inside about places to eat off the tourist trail. He said he takes his wife the Pure Country to eat. We took his suggestion and made our way over. It's a country diner, great food, service plenty of both. They advertised "best breakfast in S.S.Marie" my opinion, one of the best anywhere!! My fiancé and I came at the last minute before closing. They greeted us with a smile and awesome food. I plan ongoing there again and again. I highly recommend anybody has never been to the soo go to pure country.
