I think about these mussles wayyyy to much. Delicious and the seafood bisque!!! don't even get me starttted. Good seafood is hard to find out here and this place has some of my favorite dishes.

Shucks Tavern & Oyster Bar held a gambling seat for over an hour for someone who never came back… because of 55 coins.

Meanwhile, actual paying customers were turned away.

Make it make sense. Customer service has gone downhill.

We came in around 10am and sat down to eat. No one else was in the dining area so we got to choose from our choice of seat. The booths were comfortable and there are TVs to watch. You can still smell the cigarettes from the bar area as there isn't anything in between, which is a down side. Service was good but we had to wait for menus for about 5-10 minutes. Food itself was pretty good, but don't expect 5 star type food, it is a bar. Overall for two of us with tip was $30 out the door.

Previous visits the food and service were outstanding. This time, the snow crab was over cooked, completely shredded. Shell was too soft and completely saturated in butter, could barely hold it to dig out the little bites of crab. The fish in the fish and chips was a little under cooked, and the fried oysters were as well. The oysters Rockefeller were very good, the calamari as well. The peel and eat shrimp was a little over boiled. Our water glasses were never refilled and I was not asked if I wanted another beer... several in our party had to request additional drinks when they happened to catch the server checking on the table. It dampened our experience and hopefully when we go back next time they have brought there game back up to where it was. Very surprised to receive that level of service on a Friday night that really wasn't very busy.

I just wanted crab.... And I got the vest service ever and some amazing food 😍 thank you for a great time! It was nice that it wasn't loud like a lot of places around it. Made for a very comfortable and quiet lunch 😊

Worst catfish I've probably ever had. It was really bland and the fries were ice cold. We were one of two tables in the whole place and it took 15 minutes before we even met our server, let alone have our drink order taken. Usually I won't leave a bad review but this is three visits in a row to this restaurant with sub-par food and or service. Pretty disappointed because this place used to be a neighborhood go-to.....not so much anymore.
