Spring by China Mama was an absolute gem. We reserved the private dining room for a group of five, and it made the entire experience feel special and relaxed. The decor is beautiful and modern with subtle traditional touches, and the private room gave us the perfect space to enjoy a family-style meal without feeling rushed or crowded.
Our waitress Cherry was fantastic. She was attentive, warm, and made sure everything flowed smoothly from start to finish. She checked in at just the right moments and helped keep the meal paced perfectly for sharing.
The food was outstanding. Every dish we ordered was incredibly flavorful, fresh, and clearly made with care. It’s the kind of place where each plate comes out and everyone immediately wants to try it. Perfect for family-style dining, because you’ll want a little bit of everything.
Another huge bonus: free parking and an off-Strip location, which makes it so much easier and more enjoyable than dealing with casino traffic. For the quality of food and the experience, the pricing was very reasonable for five people, especially considering how much we ordered.
Overall, Spring by China Mama delivered great service, great atmosphere, and phenomenal food. If you’re looking for a place to share amazing Chinese dishes with friends or family in a comfortable, beautifully designed setting, this spot is absolutely worth visiting.
We’ll definitely be back and hopefully seated with Cherry again.

Spring was delicious as expected. I’ve been to the main China Mama location and loved it there so I was confident my experience here would be the same. This particular location is super elevated and beautiful from the decor to the place settings. I came just dining for one this time. The cucumber salad was tasty and refreshing. Wontons in Szechuan Pepper Sauce had the perfect combo of flavors. I devoured that. And the braised Beef Noodle Soup was so comforting and savory. The meat was so tender. The host was great and my server, Michelle, took great care of me. Great experience.

This was my second visit in three days. I was determined to make it back because there were so many choices I just had to try! In fact, I have another day left in my Vegas stay that I may have to sneak in once more before departing. You MUST have the duck fried rice and the king prawn! You will not be disappointed.

After living in Las Vegas for so long, this is the first time I’ve eaten at a restaurant that made me so upset I felt the need to post a warning.
Let’s start with the food:
Boiled Fish in Chili Oil
The chili oil looked impressive, but the fish itself had absolutely no flavor.
It honestly tasted like the fish had just been boiled in plain water and then someone poured a bowl of oil on top at the end.
All oil, no seasoning. The fish was also very soft and mushy.
Crispy Duck with Taro Paste
The name sounds rich and complex, but the actual dish was extremely simple:
A huge plate of taro paste with literally two small strips of duck.
And the duck wasn’t fresh — it had a strong gamey smell that made it really hard to eat.
Dry-Fried Green Beans
This was the only dish that was somewhat edible.
Twice-Cooked Pork
We added this dish after we had already ordered. By the time it arrived, we had basically finished everything else.
We waited another 15 minutes for it. The flavor was very consistent though: salty, tough, and overloaded with chili bean paste.
Rice
The menu said Thai jasmine rice.
But what we got tasted more like brown rice — coarse, dry, and nothing like the soft, fragrant texture jasmine rice should have.
Now the service:
One of the female servers was very friendly and smiling the whole time with the foreign customers. But when it came to us, her expression immediately turned cold. When we left, she didn’t even look at us. Yet the very next second she was smiling and warmly saying goodbye to the foreign customers at the next table. That kind of obvious difference in treatment was really uncomfortable.
Overall summary of this meal:
Bad food, bad service, and an unpleasant experience.
This is the first restaurant in Las Vegas that made me feel like I had to go out of my way to post a warning.
I’d honestly suggest choosing carefully. We definitely won’t be coming back.
