Really great restaurant for the family, my father and I had a great time here with also very cheap prices. The food here will make you travel back in time to the 50s. I would recommend the oreo milkshake as it is perfect amount of sweetness and the western cheeseburger with its mind blowing taste.

I am a big fan of the half-price Happy Hour shakes from Mon-Thurs 2-5 pm ☆ Personally, my favorite flavor is the Oreo Cookies and Creme. This location's steakburgers and fries are also delicious.
I just returned home from Steak and Shake. I took a small order home. I specifically told the cashier that I did not want mayo on my burger. I repeated this request at least 3 times. You guessed it. When I got home there was mayo all over the burger. This is the 3rd time this happened. They offered to make a new order. I refused. I wouldn't let them within 50 yards of my food. You've been warned. They didn't even apologize!

My hamburger was burnt we didn’t get any napkins to the waitress. She didn’t do anything about it. They charged us for everything and we didn’t eat it because it was gross. They said they were sorry but that was it. Offered nothing else.I am a local this will not be a place I go to

Ordered takeout and my food was cold. I've ordered from here before and it was very tasty but was extremely disappointed with this last experience. They also recently removed the ability to substitute onion rings for fries which was also a bummer. Not worth the price, would reconsider ordering takeout from here in the future.
Only reason I put 4 was because of the one experience I had about 3 weeks ago. Hadn't eaten dinner yet and was going to gamble a little bit so went here since it's always fast and never have any issues. I've always gotten either a shake or the cheeseburger and fries the cheap version. This night I decided to get a western BBQ burger it was good. The after math was my issue both my husband and I got sick I ate more than him. We both had gas but I had food poisoning. The cashier at the to go line was really friendly. Just hate the first time I tried the Western BBQ burger I got sick after.

I came here and ordered take out (7 burgers and fries, 10 cookies plus extra for condiments) for my family, was told everything was in the bag, gave my receipt to the take out gal, and didn’t think twice about it. Got home and only 4 burgers were in the bag but everything else was there. I called to let them know I was missing 3 burgers in hopes that they would prepare them for when I got back, but the manager Betty was extremely rude on the phone saying that everything was there. As soon as I got there Betty met me out front and told me that everything was in the bag originally since she gave me 3 bags. Only 2 bags had 2 burgers a piece while the 3rd was all cookies. The entire time Betty was extremely rude about the entire situation.If you like your food missing and like to fight to make it right this is the spot for you

Nothing was right. I went about 5 pm Monday 12/18/23 to the Steak n Shake at Southpoint Hotel. Staff was so small, they woild only let dine-in people sit at a few tables, causing a big backup line outside. The order-to-go line moved VERY slowly, and I foud out why when it was my turn to order. I had to keep repeating myself over and over before the lady said she finally got it. Then it took her 4 full minutes to punch it in! In the fast food business, that is forever! Then, when I got the food back to the room, it was still wrong. My fiance's double burger only had one patty, although she was charged for a double. My burger wasn't supposed to have any lettuce, but it did. I will never go back.
