This place was so good in the past. As of December 2025 I cannot recommend it. No dedicated vegan menu any longer and the new pasta dish is just nasty. Updated from previous review on 2025-12-31

SW Steakhouse was the splurge meal of our Las Vegas trip, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. The space feels elegant and calm, tucked just off the casino, and even though we were seated a bit deeper inside, we still had a nice view out toward the Lake of Dreams show.
Service was polished but warm from the moment we sat down. Our server walked us through the menu, answered questions without any hint of rushing us, and paced everything perfectly so we could really enjoy each course.
Food-wise, it was outstanding. We started with cocktails (the espresso martini was excellent) and their warm house bread with whipped butter. The chilled Seafood Spectacular tower was a showstopper – king crab, lobster, shrimp, oysters, crab cocktail, scallop ceviche, the sauces, and dramatic “smoke” from the dry ice...just wow! For mains we shared steaks, including one of the Japanese Wagyu options, plus Brussels sprouts and truffle fries with a flight of dipping sauces. Everything was cooked exactly as ordered and packed with flavor.
Dessert was another highlight. We shared the chocolate chip soufflé with sauce poured into the center at the table, and also tried the Rocky Road sundae where a chocolate dome melts under hot fudge. Both were rich, over-the-top, and perfect for sharing.
Yes, prices are high, but portions are generous and very easy to split, which helped make the experience feel more reasonable for a special occasion. Overall, SW Steakhouse delivered on food, service, and atmosphere. If you’re looking for one memorable “treat yourself” dinner in Vegas, this is a fantastic choice.

Okay Ly

We celebrated last night at SW steak house our anniversary and we decided on the steak chateaubriand it was absolutely delicious so soft and buttery chewing was optional 😂 thats how soft it was, amazing! We paired it with a side of fries and Mac and cheese the fries were good had great seasoning, the mac’n cheese was honestly really good as well they topped it with bread crumbs and it added a nice crunch. My lychee martini hands down has been the best I’ve ever had! So delicious. And let’s not forget our server he went above and beyond I can’t remember his name :( but I do recall him telling us he was from Albania such great service will definitely be back!

SW Steakhouse was our big splurge meal for this Las Vegas trip, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. The restaurant is tucked just off the casino at Wynn, so you’re close to the action, but the room itself feels calm, elegant, and never rushed. We made a reservation and were seated almost immediately upon arrival. We started with the Seafood Spectacular tower and an espresso martini – both were showstoppers. The presentation with the dry ice was gorgeous, and everything on the tower tasted incredibly fresh. The warm house bread with butter was simple but unforgettable. For mains, we shared steaks (including one of the Wagyu options), plus sides like the Brussels sprouts and truffle fries with sauces. Portions are generous enough to share, which helped make the overall cost feel more reasonable for a special-occasion meal. Everything was cooked perfectly and packed with flavor. Service was excellent from start to finish – attentive, professional, and friendly without being stuffy. Yes, it’s expensive, but if you plan to share a few dishes and treat it as your “big night out,” SW Steakhouse is absolutely worth it.

Stopped by the always popular sw steakhouse, and sat by the bar for a single’s dinner. The place was packed and after a short wait, I got a seat. Service and ambience were top notch. I did two cocktails (dark side of the moon and perfect storm) which were pricey but really good. For food, i had the onion soup appetizer and for entree, I ordered the boneless ribeye with a creamy shrimp scampi add on. Food was unfortunately came in a little under expectation. Slightly bland for the onion soup and scampi, and steak was overdone (requested medium rare). I did not send it back as it already took a while to come. Bill came in just under $300 for one. A one time visit for me. I’d stick to Luger at Caesar’s.

Got the 21 day dry aged American wagyu new York strip. The steak was delicious and super tender. The truffle butter and roasted garlic added a nice flavor. The steak itself was not well seasoned but the compliments helped with that. I got medium to medium well and was perfectly cooked. However got food poisoning later that evening. Not sure if the dry age wasn't removed properly or what as I am not a chef, but definitely got sick from the steak as the 145 dollar steak is all I ordered.

Great ambience and decent food.
We had a family dinner, and were seated at the balcony which was great to see the show.
The food was overall good. The filet mignon came out a bit dry and over cooked.
The banana cheesecake came with a show which was pretty fun to watch

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ SW Steakhouse – Perfection in Every Way

Amazing — 100% across the board. We were in town for my son’s baseball tournament and my daughter’s 14th birthday, and Executive Chef Christopher Lee set us up with the most incredible table right in the center of the room. From the host to every server, the service could not have been better.

We had a beautiful view of the waterfall and the show, which made the night even more special. The table bread was fantastic, the steaks were cooked perfectly, and every side we tried was outstanding. The lobster was incredible, the wine was spot-on, and they surprised us with five different desserts — all of them amazing.

Treat yourself the next time you’re in Vegas… there is truly no better steakhouse in town. I will definitely be coming back.

We wanted to get a drink in the bar before dinner reservation. Bartender wouldn’t let us sit at bar unless we were going to order food. No bar tables. Crazy! Drinks in Parasol bar - When my husband ordered a vodka, I couldn’t see the liquid in the glass because it was a minute amount. All you can see is ice. Mentioned it to the waiter and she said “that’s two ounces.” I’d like to challenge her on that. No wonder Vegas is suffering. We are locals and can’t believe the cheapness at these once-fine establishments. It’s ridiculous to us and I can’t imagine what the tourists think. We used to get really nice value and service for your money It’s not always about price. Vegas was known for their service! we valeted our car for $40. Didn’t mind for convenience. Then you have to use a friggin machine to get your car brought up. It’s a damn shame!!

SW steakhouse was a really cool experience. The most notable, and perhaps most popular, aspect of this restaurant is the lake of dreams show that plays every 30 minutes during dinner. The show uses a combination of lights, holograms, and animatronics which are choreographed to different songs throughout the night. The service was friendly but they were definitely more attentive to certain tables. Likely a little profiling going on to try and maximize tips. Food was good but not amazing. As you would expect, the prices are on the higher side for what you get but this is to be expected when dining at an upscale restaurant on the strip and was comparable to most other restaurants of the same level here. Overall good experience but not sure I’d go back. Atmosphere: 5/5 Service: 3/5 Food: 4/5 Value: 3/5 Total: 3.75/5

Edit - Updating my review to mention that I emailed as requested, but haven’t heard back yet.

We were really looking forward to dining at SW Steakhouse, especially for the view. We clearly requested a table with a view when making the reservation, but we were seated all the way at the end with no view at all, which was very disappointing given this was one of the main reasons we chose this restaurant.

At the time of booking, the restaurant offered a vegan option, which mattered to us. However, when we arrived, we were told the vegan menu is no longer available. Our server, Ryan, mentioned “it’s a steakhouse,” and the tone came across quite dismissive. He was not supportive at all in helping us find a good alternative. He suggested sautéed vegetables and pasta — the sautéed vegetables were unfortunately really bad and the pasta was quite bland. For a fine-dining restaurant, we expected much better quality and accommodation.

On a positive note, Ryan’s assistant was very professional, down-to-earth, and genuinely tried to help, which we appreciated.

Overall, the service and food did not match the fine-dining experience SW Steakhouse is known for, and considering the price point and experience, we wouldn’t return.
